Low Milan linear fireplace: a 72-inch concrete wall of fire, 44 inches tall
The American Fyre Designs Low Milan linear fireplace is a freestanding wall of stacked concrete bands, 72 inches wide, only 16 inches deep, and 44 inches tall. A long, glass-fronted opening across the middle holds a 48-inch stainless steel linear burner that creates a row of flames. It is cast in concrete reinforced with glass fibers, giving it the look of stone at a fraction of the weight. It comes in seven colors and needs no chimney or firebox.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Turn the knob and press the igniter to light it, or add the Fyrestarter Bluetooth control and start it from your phone. The burner, pan, fittings, lava granules, and glass wind guard are included, and you pick the fill on the page: lava, fire glass, or glass gems. A side table that hides a propane tank is optional. Want the flame higher? See the 60-inch Tall Milan linear fireplace. The Low Milan linear fireplace ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
How wide is the Low Milan fireplace?
It stretches 72 inches wide while standing 44 inches tall and only 16 inches deep – a long, low horizontal band rather than a vertical tower. Those proportions are the signature of the design: the fireplace reads as a floating line of fire along the edge of a space instead of a monument in the middle of it.
Why is the Milan just 16 inches deep?
Because a linear fireplace earns its keep at the perimeter. At 16 inches deep it slips along a wall, a property line, or the edge of a terrace while giving up almost none of the usable floor, so even narrow side yards and city patios can carry a six-foot-wide fire feature without sacrificing seating space.
What flame does the 48-inch burner produce?
A wide, continuous band of fire. The 48-inch stainless steel linear burner runs most of the fireplace’s width, producing consistent, radiant flames that stretch across the opening rather than clustering at the center. Both natural gas and propane versions drive the same burner, so the effect does not depend on which fuel your site supports.
Which controls can the Low Milan use?
Two systems are offered: a manual flame sensing control for straightforward, hands-on operation, or the Bluetooth-enabled FyreStarter electronic ignition, which puts starting and flame control at your fingertips. Neither changes the fireplace itself – it is purely a question of whether you want the ritual of manual lighting or the convenience of electronics.
Does the low profile preserve backyard views?
That is the reason to choose the 44-inch version. The body stays below standing eye level, so a garden, pool, or long view remains visible over the fireplace while the flame rides near seated sightlines. If you would rather the fireplace block and backdrop the view, its 60-inch Tall sibling does exactly that.
What is a linear outdoor fireplace?
A fireplace built long and low instead of tall and square, with a wide horizontal flame in a minimalist body – a format borrowed from modern interiors and moved outdoors. The Low Milan is a textbook example, and you can see how the format compares with traditional silhouettes across our full fireplace range.
Can a linear fireplace go near a pool?
The Milan was drawn with poolside retreats specifically in mind, and its included wind guard earns its keep there, shielding the flame where open water invites open breeze. The 16-inch depth also matters on a pool deck, where circulation space is precious. Have your installer run the gas supply to suit the deck.
