Fire Magic Choice C430s Patio Post Mount Grill: a gas grill that bolts to your patio
The Fire Magic Choice C430s Patio Post Mount Grill is a 24 inch post mount gas grill. Post mount means the grill head sits on a stainless steel post with a shelf on each side, on a base plate that bolts to a patio or a deck. Choice is for a first outdoor kitchen or a patio with no outlet. Fire Magic builds it in the USA from 304 stainless steel, the grade that holds up best outdoors. Two stainless steel tube burners give 46,000 BTUs. It gives you about 430 square inches of cooking space plus a warming rack.
The grates are Diamond Sear grids, thick stainless steel bars with a flat top for clean sear marks, and flavor grids under them turn drippings into smoke and keep flare ups down. The double walled hood holds heat like an oven and lifts with two fingers. It lights with a spark when you turn the knob, so it needs no electricity and no batteries. A dial in the hood shows the oven heat at a glance. A one hour timer in the post shuts the gas off by itself, which matters on a shared patio. What is the difference between the patio post and in-ground post versions?
Both use the same 24-inch Choice grill head. This C430s-RT1N-P6 patio post has a base plate that sits on, or bolts to, a patio or deck. The in-ground post version is sold separately and, per the Fire Magic spec guide, extends 18 inches below grade and gets set in the ground. Choose the patio post when you want to install on an existing hard surface.
How do you secure the patio post?
The manual requires fastening the base before use so the grill stays fixed and upright. Mark the four holes in the base plate, drill them 1/2 inch in diameter and 1 1/2 inches deep, insert the lag shields flush with the surface, then drive the lag screws with a 7/16 inch nut driver. The lag shields and screws are in the hardware kit listed in the manual.
How does the one-hour timer in the post work?
A mechanical timer valve is built into the post. The manual says to turn the dial clockwise to the cooking time you want, up to one hour; it winds back to OFF and shuts the gas to the grill. For times under twenty minutes, turn the dial past twenty first, then back to the time you need. Set the timer before lighting the burners.
Can this post grill run on a propane tank?
Yes. Select Propane on the Gas Type selector and the grill ships as C430S-RT1P-P6. The manual notes that propane cylinder holders meeting Fire Magic’s housing and restraining rules are available through the dealer, or you can build a non-combustible vented enclosure to its specifications. Natural gas installs connect to a supply stub with a shut-off valve within six feet.
How tall is the grill on the post?
The spec guide lists 49 7/8 inches with the hood closed and 57 1/8 inches with it open, with the side shelves at 36 inches. The post is 5 1/2 inches across and the base plate about 20 1/4 inches. Does it need an electrical outlet?
No. The Choice series uses turn-to-light spark ignition that needs no power and no batteries, an analog hood thermometer, and the timer in the post is mechanical. The manual includes match-lighting steps as a backup. That makes the patio post a simple install anywhere a gas line or propane cylinder can reach.
How much cooking space and heat does it have?
The main grid is 24 by 18 inches, or 432 square inches, with a 24 by 8 inch warming rack above it. Two 16-gauge tubular stainless burners produce 46,000 BTUs under patented Diamond Sear cooking grids and 304 stainless flavor grids. The double-walled 304 stainless hood opens 90 degrees with a spring assist and carries the analog thermometer.

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
