The Summerset 18 by 22 inch Left Opening Vented Vertical Access Door is a stainless steel access door for the front of an outdoor kitchen island. It covers the hollow space inside the island, where the gas line, the shutoff valve, and spare supplies live, so you can reach them without taking anything apart. It measures 18 by 22 inches, taller than it is wide. It mounts flush, sitting flat against a smooth island face such as tile, stucco, or panels. There are no hinges showing, a magnet holds it shut, and it opens from the left. Why does an access door have vents?
Safety. Propane is heavier than air, and a leak inside a sealed island pools invisibly at the base until something ignites it. The DV-18VL louvers give that gas a passive escape path and keep fresh air moving through the cavity – which is why vented doors are specified wherever a tank lives inside.
What does left side opening mean?
The DV-18VL hinges so the door opens from the left – a fixed orientation, unlike Summerset’s reversible solid doors, because the louver layout sets the panel’s direction. Choose left or right by your island traffic: the open door should fold away from the grill station, not into it.
Is this the right door for a tank cavity?
It is built for exactly that. Put the tank behind the DV-18VL, keep the hose run short to the propane grill above, and the louvers handle continuous passive airflow around the cylinder. The 18×22-inch vertical format is sized for reaching a standard 20-pound cylinder.
What are the size and build details?
18 by 22 inches, vertical, flush-mount, in 304 stainless steel with a magnetic latch and the Summerset bar handle. Apart from its louvers and fixed left-hand swing, the DV-18VL installs like the standard 18×22 vertical door – same style of rough opening, same finished look.
Where should the propane tank go in an outdoor kitchen?
In a ventilated cavity as close to the grill as the layout allows – never sealed behind solid doors, never in a fully enclosed base without airflow. A DV-18VL on that cavity satisfies the ventilation need while keeping the tank hidden, shaded, and reachable for swaps.
Do the louvers let rain into the cavity?
Angled louvers pass air, not weather – wind-driven mist at worst, which a stainless cavity shrugs off. Anything moisture-sensitive should ride in a bin regardless. The DV-18VL trades a technically sealed face for airflow because, with propane inside, airflow is the feature.
Is a vented door still under warranty?

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
