Fire Magic E251 Electric Counter Top Grill: a small electric grill for a table or counter

The Fire Magic E251 Electric Counter Top Grill is a small electric grill that sits on any table or counter. There is nothing to install: set it down and plug it in. It suits a balcony, rooftop, or condo patio. Fire Magic builds it in the USA from 304 stainless steel, the grade that holds up best outdoors. Electric means it heats with an element under the grates, with no gas line and no flame, so it can go where gas is not allowed. It gives you about 250 square inches of cooking space plus a small warming rack.

It has stainless steel grates. It plugs into a regular outdoor outlet on its own 20 amp circuit. It reaches 800 degrees, and a digital thermostat holds the heat you set and reads the included meat probe. A rotisserie kit is sold separately. Unplug it and bring it inside when you are done for the season. Want folding shelves? See the Fire Magic E251 Electric Post Mount Grill. The Fire Magic E251 Electric Counter Top Grill ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ

Can I use this grill on a balcony?

That is what it is for. The description names patios, rooftops and balconies where space is limited or gas is not allowed. It runs on 120 volts from a 20 amp circuit with no open flame, and the manual asks for a weatherproof GFCI outlet, 4 inches to a rear wall, 6 inches to side walls and 30 inches of clearance overhead.

How much cooking space is there?

The grid is 15 1/2 by 16 1/4 inches, or 252 square inches, with a 16 by 4 inch removable warming rack above it in a double-walled 304 stainless lid. The 1,800 watt element heats up to 800 degrees F, controlled by a digital thermometer with thermostatic control and a meat probe.

Does it plug into a normal outlet?

It uses a standard 120 volt grounded outlet, but the manual calls for a 20 amp minimum GFCI receptacle with an in-use cover and a dedicated breaker. A short cord is supplied; if you must extend it, use a 14 gauge outdoor-rated grounded extension cord no longer than 25 feet.

Is the rotisserie included?

No. The page lists an optional rotisserie kit upgrade and the manual shows a rotisserie bracket for the grill, but the kit is not an on-page selector, so contact us to add it to your order. Compare other electric grills here.

How do I store it?

The countertop grill sits on any hard, level surface outdoors. The manual says to unplug it when not in use and store it indoors, out of reach of children, and never to immerse the cord, plug, probe or grill in water. Empty the slide-out drip tray after it cools.

Is there a built-in or post version?

Yes. Fire Magic sells the same 252 square inch electric grill as a built-in E251i for a countertop cutout and as an E251s on a patio post with folding shelves, both listed separately. This E251T is the countertop version with no installation beyond the outlet.
