The American Made Grills Encore 54 Freestanding Hybrid Grill is a 54 inch hybrid grill on its own rolling stainless steel cart, so you need no island at all. Hybrid means it is a full gas grill that also burns real charcoal or wood: stainless steel trays under the grates hold the coals or the wood chunks, so you can cook over gas, over a live fire, or both at once. Vents in the hood let you feed air to a charcoal or wood fire or choke it down, the way a charcoal grill does. The Encore is for cooks who want those fuel choices in a plainer, more traditional looking grill. American Made Grills builds it in the USA from 304 stainless steel, the grade that holds up best outdoors. Eight stainless steel burners give 176,000 BTUs over about 1,700 square inches of cooking space.
The grates are thick V shaped stainless steel bars that flip over, and lifting tools come with the grill for moving them hot. The double walled hood holds heat like an oven, and lights inside the hood and over each knob let you cook after dark. An infrared back burner at the rear runs the included rotisserie, so a chicken or a roast turns and bastes itself. Also in the box: an infrared sear burner that drops in where a grate goes, a griddle plate, a starter kit of wood and charcoal, leather gloves, a care kit, and a vinyl cover for the grill head. The cart underneath arrives fully assembled on locking wheels, with soft close drawers, one of them divided for charcoal and wood, a pull out drawer for the propane tank, a folding side shelf, and a cutting board. The large storage drawer is built with stainless steel fuel dividers so charcoal and wood stay in their own sections instead of one jumbled pile, ready to grab mid-cook on a grill that burns gas, charcoal, and wood. Two separate accessory storage drawers then handle tools and everything else.
Why does the spec sheet list a grill SKU and a cart SKU for this one product?
Because the freestanding model is sold as a matched pair. The specification tab reads ENCFS54-NG overall, then breaks that down as the ENC54 grill head plus the CART-AMG54 cart. You still order and receive it as a single fully assembled unit – the split SKUs simply document which head and which cart make up the package, alongside the natural gas or propane designation.

Will this grill fit through a standard gate or doorway on delivery day?
Plan the route before it arrives: overall dimensions are 54.739 inches wide, 33.234 inches deep, and 32.984 inches tall. Depth is the number that matters when rolling it through an opening sideways, so a 36-inch gate or a set of double doors clears it comfortably, while a narrow 30-inch side gate will not.
Can you keep grilling through the winter?
There is no off-season built into this grill. It runs on gas, charcoal, or wood year-round, and the commercial grade 304 stainless steel head and cart are made to live outdoors. Keep the included deluxe vinyl grill cover on between cooks through the wet, cold months and the grill is ready whenever you are.
Do you need a separate smoker box to cook with wood on this grill?
No. This is a hybrid, so wood is a first-class fuel rather than an accessory workaround – the included Fuel Kit arrives with wood and charcoal, and both burn inside the grill itself, alongside or instead of gas. A smoker box exists to sneak a little smoke into a gas-only grill; here the capability is designed in from the start.
How long do gas grills last?
It depends almost entirely on materials. A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
