The American Made Grills Encore 36 Freestanding Hybrid Grill is a 36 inch hybrid grill on its own rolling stainless steel cart, so you need no island at all. Hybrid means it is a full gas grill that also burns real charcoal or wood: stainless steel trays under the grates hold the coals or the wood chunks, so you can cook over gas, over a live fire, or both at once. Vents in the hood let you feed air to a charcoal or wood fire or choke it down, the way a charcoal grill does. This is the traditional looking hybrid for cooks who want wood flavor some nights and gas ease on others. American Made Grills builds it in the USA from 304 stainless steel, the grade that holds up best outdoors. Five stainless steel burners give 110,000 BTUs over about 1,100 square inches of cooking space.
The grates are thick V shaped stainless steel bars that flip over, and lifting tools come with the grill for moving them hot. The double walled hood holds heat like an oven, and lights inside the hood and over each knob let you cook after dark. An infrared back burner at the rear runs the included rotisserie, so a chicken or a roast turns and bastes itself. Also in the box: an infrared sear burner that drops in where a grate goes, a griddle plate, a starter kit of wood and charcoal, leather gloves, a care kit, and covers for the grill head and the whole cart. The cart underneath arrives fully assembled on locking wheels, with soft close drawers, one of them divided for charcoal and wood, a pull out drawer for the propane tank, a folding side shelf, and a cutting board. Why does this grill come with two different covers?
Because it protects two different things. The included items list pairs a deluxe vinyl grill cover for the grill head with a deluxe freestanding grill cover sized for the complete unit, and the order options confirm both – the 36-inch built-in grill cover and the freestanding grill and cart cover each appear at no charge. Head alone or whole cart, you are not buying either cover separately.
Do the drawers on this cart slam shut?
No. The storage drawers on this cart are soft-close – the two accessory drawers and the large storage drawer all settle shut in a controlled glide instead of banging. It is one of the cart details, along with the folding shelf and cutting board, that makes the freestanding Encore feel like finished outdoor cabinetry on wheels rather than a sheet-metal stand.
Why do several add-on options on this page cost nothing?

Can you take this grill with you when you move house?
Yes. Unlike a head mortared into an island, this is a complete freestanding grill on a rolling 304 stainless steel cart, so it loads onto a truck and sets up at the next home with no construction. It arrived fully assembled in the first place, and the locking caster wheels keep it planted once you settle on its new spot.
Why does the freestanding version cost more than the built-in head alone?
The difference is the cart. The specification tab shows what you are actually buying – the ENC36 grill head plus the CART-AMG36 cart – and that cart is real equipment in its own right: commercial grade 304 stainless steel with soft-close drawers, a tank pullout drawer, folding shelf, cutting board, and caster wheels, delivered as one fully assembled unit.
Is a hybrid grill harder to learn than a regular gas grill?
No – nothing about it forces you to change how you cook. Light the gas burners and it behaves like any premium gas grill from day one. The multi-fuel side is opt-in: when you feel like experimenting, the included Fuel Kit of wood and charcoal is your starting point, and you can fold solid fuel into your routine at whatever pace suits you.
Can you grill in the rain?
Rain is more a comfort problem than a grill problem – cooking under a patio roof or overhang works fine, and the commercial grade 304 stainless steel construction is made for outdoor life. What matters more is protection between cooks, which is why this model includes both a grill head cover and a full freestanding cart cover in the box.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. Sizing and heating need to be figured out, as does the building, but we have always had a helpful partner on our side. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
