Superior Ozark Charred Oak: vented gas logs with a blackened, well burned look
The Superior Ozark Charred Oak is a vented gas log set for the wood burning fireplace you already have. Vented means it goes in a real fireplace with a working chimney, and you leave the damper open. Most of the heat goes up the chimney, so it is for the look of a wood fire more than for heating the room. The ceramic logs are cast from real oak and hand painted to look like they have been burning all evening, with charred black edges and gray ash. Tall yellow flames rise between them over a bed of glowing embers. The logs come in lengths of 24, 30, or 36 inches. Pick the size on the page.
The burner is not included. On the page you pick the log size and then the burner that fits it. Order it for natural gas or propane. It lights with a hand held remote that runs on batteries. For natural gas, you can instead choose a wall control wired into the house that lights the fire from a switch. You can add a two button remote with a timer or a wall switch. Is the burner included with the Ozark Charred Oak logs?
The price covers the log set; the Dual-Burner burner is a required choice on the Burner selector for your size: natural gas with hand-held remote, propane with hand-held remote, or natural gas with the hard-wired 110 V wall electronic ignition system. The charred oak logs, molded from real timber and hand painted, fit only Dual-Burner burners of the same size.
What fireplace size do I need?
Sizes are 24, 30 and 36 in on the Size selector. The Specifications tab lists both widths: a front width of at least 36, 42 or 48 in and a rear width of 24, 30 or 36 in, with 18 in depth and 24 in height, in a fully vented wood-burning fireplace with a working flue. Measure the firebox floor front and back before choosing.
How much heat does it produce?
55,000, 70,000 and 80,000 BTU on natural gas for the 24, 30 and 36 in sets per the Specifications tab, and 50,000, 65,000 and 75,000 BTU on the propane burners. Because it runs vented with the damper fully open, it is a decorative fire that warms the area in front of the hearth rather than a room heater.
Does it need electricity?
The remote versions run on batteries and the burner manual says they must not be connected to an external electrical source; you light them from the hand-held remote (on/off, timer, digital display). The wall control version is hard-wired 110 V with the valve and electronics in a wall box up to 9 ft from the fireplace, using a wall switch or the remote on the Accessories row.
Does the damper have to stay open?
Yes, completely. The burner ships with a damper clamp that must be fitted so the damper cannot close, and the fireplace screen must be in place during operation; the manual gives the minimum permanent flue opening by chimney height. How are the logs arranged?
The Ozark Charred Oak placement guide linked in the Manuals tab shows the layout for each size: rear log on the rear grate bars, front log pulled forward to the grate fingers, then the middle logs and top logs. The set is complete as shipped and must not be modified; logs stay hot after use, so use heat-resistant gloves to adjust them.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
