Superior Smoky Weathered Oak: vented gas logs with a silvery, sun bleached look
The Superior Smoky Weathered Oak is a vented gas log set for the wood burning fireplace you already have. Vented means it goes in a real fireplace with a working chimney, and you leave the damper open. Most of the heat goes up the chimney, so it is for the look of a wood fire more than for heating the room. The ceramic logs are cast from molds of real oak and hand painted in soft grays and browns, like wood that has spent a few seasons outside. Tall yellow flames rise between them over a bed of glowing embers. The logs come in lengths of 24, 30, or 36 inches. Pick the size on the page.
The burner is not included. On the page you pick the log size and then the burner that fits it. Order it for natural gas or propane. It lights with a hand held remote that runs on batteries. For natural gas, you can instead choose a wall control wired into the house that lights the fire from a switch. You can add a two button remote with a timer or a wall switch. Want white bark instead? What burner options come with the Smoky Weathered Oak logs?
The base price is the log set; on the Burner selector for your size you pick the Dual-Burner system: natural gas with hand-held remote, propane with hand-held remote, or natural gas with the hard-wired 110 V wall electronic ignition. The remote burners run on batteries and light from the remote; the wall system hides the valve in a wall box up to 9 ft away.
Which size fits my fireplace?
The Specifications tab lists a minimum front width of 36, 42 or 48 in and a rear width of 24, 30 or 36 in for the 24, 30 and 36 in sets, with 18 in depth and 24 in height. It must be a fully vented wood-burning fireplace with a working flue. Choose the size on the Size selector once you have measured the firebox floor front and back.
How much heat does each size give?
55,000, 70,000 and 80,000 BTU on natural gas and 50,000, 65,000 and 75,000 BTU on propane for the 24, 30 and 36 in sets. Run vented with the damper fully open, most heat leaves up the flue, so the set is chosen for the tall dancing flames and glowing ember bed of the Dual-Burner rather than for heating.
Why must the damper stay open?
Because the Dual-Burner is a vented decorative appliance: the burner manual requires a permanent free opening in the chimney or damper to carry away flue gases, sized by chimney height and BTU rating, and ships a damper clamp to be fitted so the damper cannot close. The fireplace screen must stay in place while it burns.
What controls are available?
The battery burners include a hand-held remote with on/off, countdown timer and digital display, and the manual forbids lighting the pilot by hand. The wall control burner uses a wall switch or the two-button timer remote and on/off wall switch from the Accessories row. Browse more Superior gas logs for other log styles.
How do I arrange the logs?
Follow the Smoky Weathered Oak placement guide linked in the Manuals tab for your size: rear log on the rear grate bars, front log forward against the grate fingers, then the middle and top logs. The set is complete as supplied, must not be modified, and is certified only on Dual-Burner burners of the same size.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
