Will the Ascent Linear Premium 46 work when the power is out?
Yes. Its ignition has battery backup, so the fire lights without household electricity — a real advantage over electric fireplaces during winter outages. The blower rejoins once power returns.
How do you clean the glass on the Ascent Linear Premium 46?
With the unit fully cool, remove the glass front as shown in the manual and use a cleaner made for gas-fireplace ceramic glass — ordinary ammonia products can permanently haze the surface. Once or twice a season is usually plenty.
How much does the Ascent Linear Premium 46 cost per hour to run?
Its 24,000 BTU maximum input equals about 0.24 therms of natural gas hourly — roughly 35–40 cents at average U.S. rates, with lower flame settings costing less.
What opening does the Ascent Linear Premium 46 need?

Proportions. The Ascent Linear Premium 46 spreads its flame across a wide, low 39-inch band for a modern presentation, where traditional fireboxes like the standard Ascent series use a taller, nearly square window with a classic log look.
Does the Ascent Linear Premium 46 have a damper?
No damper exists or is needed — the sealed direct vent system manages exhaust and intake automatically, and unlike an open chimney, it doesn’t leak heated room air outdoors when the fireplace is off.

- By signing the delivery receipt without noting any damage or missing items, you confirm that your order arrived complete and in excellent condition.
- Record any damage or missing pieces directly on the delivery receipt.
- Do not discard damaged item(s) or any original packaging. For severe damage, write “Refused due to damage” on the delivery receipt and contact us immediately.
- Report any damage within two business days, including delivery details and photos showing the issue
- Damaged item(s) must be returned within 30 days. Failure to return them will result in a charge to the original payment method.
