Detroit Radiant CE-40-24 Contactor Panel: a switching box for your electric patio heater
The Detroit Radiant CE-40-24 Contactor Panel is a switching box in a metal enclosure. An electrician uses it when an electric heater needs more power than a thermostat or timer can switch on its own. It also lets a 24 volt thermostat control a heater that runs on line voltage, the power supplied by your home’s electrical wiring. It fits Detroit Radiant ELD, ELX, BAH and DSS electric heaters. Detroit Radiant builds these controls for its own heaters, so the wiring and voltages match.
The panel needs a 24 volt transformer, which supplies power for its switching mechanism. Pair it with a switch, timer or thermostat to control when the heater runs. Your installer must also add overload protection to protect against too much electrical current. Need a higher capacity switching box? See the Detroit Radiant CE-60-24 Contactor Panel. The Detroit Radiant CE-40-24 Contactor Panel ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.
