DuraVent DirectVent Pro 90 Degree Elbow: a right angle turn toward the outside wall
The DuraVent DirectVent Pro 90 Degree Elbow is a fitting that turns the vent toward an outside wall. It sits above a short pipe rise from a stove and is the elbow used in both horizontal kits. The base can rotate without unlocking the joint, so you can aim the outlet while the bend stays at 90 degrees. DirectVent Pro is DuraVent’s pipe inside a pipe vent for direct vent gas fireplaces and stoves: exhaust goes out through the inner pipe and outside air comes in through the outer pipe.
Choose 4 by 6 5/8 inch or 5 by 8 inch, then galvanized steel or painted black. A horizontal run must stay level or slope upward toward the cap 1/4 inch per foot, never downward, with support at least every 4 feet. The pipe length between elbow and cap accounts for wall thickness plus the space the appliance maker specifies behind the stove. Going around an obstacle? DuraVent favors gentler turns where possible, using the DuraVent DirectVent Pro 45 Degree Elbow. The DuraVent DirectVent Pro 90 Degree Elbow ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.
