DuraVent DuraFlex Aluminum Coupler: joins the fresh air intake, never the exhaust

The DuraVent DuraFlex Aluminum Coupler is a connector for the outside air supply to an appliance. It joins a DuraFlex Aluminum coil to PolyPro, DuraVent’s plastic pipe for high efficiency appliances. This connection carries only combustion air, the fresh air an appliance needs to burn fuel. It never carries exhaust. DuraFlex Aluminum is DuraVent’s flexible aluminum liner for relining a masonry chimney that vents a gas appliance. This coupler serves a different purpose from the connections used to join exhaust liner sections or attach them to an appliance. Choose a 3 or 4 inch diameter on this page.

The coupler, intake coil, and hanger bracket route outside air down a chimney or enclosed pipe passage. They can supply a wood, pellet, or gas appliance, or run beside a PolyPro exhaust pipe. DuraVent’s PolyPro adapter clamp can hold the connection together. For exhaust relining, the separate liner range has seven diameters from 3 to 8 inches, sized to the appliance outlet or incoming vent pipe. Coil length is selected to suit the chimney height. Need to support the intake coil? See the DuraVent DuraFlex Aluminum Hanger Bracket for intake support. The DuraVent DuraFlex Aluminum Coupler ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

How Size and Height Affect Stove Performance

  • The amount of heat the vent gases loose as they flow determines how much condensation will occur and how strong the draft will be. To control the heat loses, proper selection of venting materials is of vital importance.
  • Double-wall Type B Gas Vent, with an aluminum inner wall and a galvanized steel outer wall, has proven to be the ideal choice in venting materials.
