Osburn Everest III: a wood fireplace with doors that slide out of sight
The Osburn Everest III is a wood fireplace built into a wall. Osburn rates it for 750 to 2,500 square feet, so it can heat a large open area or most of a house. Its cast iron doors slide up out of sight. It is a zero clearance fireplace, which means your builder frames it into a wall during construction or a renovation. A chimney runs up from it, so you do not need a masonry fireplace. The doors close for long clean burns, or open with the firescreen so you hear the fire.
Load it up and turn the air down, and it burns up to 8 hours. At full burn it puts out up to 85,000 BTU. It burns dry, seasoned firewood. It is a non catalytic fireplace, so there is no catalyst part to replace, just a clean burning firebox. You pick the door overlay on the page, the trim around the glass door, in black or brushed nickel. A faceplate is the finished frame around the opening, and you pick the traditional or the modern style on the page. NightFlame glass is a dark glass that hides the inside of the firebox when the fire is out and turns clear when it burns. It is optional on the page. An outside air kit, which feeds the fire air from outdoors, is optional. You can add the firescreen door or a forced air kit that ducts some of the heat to another room, and more on the page. How do the Everest III's retractable doors work?
The cast iron doors retract to suit your mood. Closed, the fireplace optimizes combustion for efficient, long-lasting heat; open, with the optional firescreen (AC01226, offered on this page as the Firescreen Door), you can safely enjoy the ambiance and crackling sound of the flames.
How much area can it heat?
Osburn rates it as capable of heating up to 2,500 square feet, with a recommended heating area of 750 to 2,500 square feet and a maximum heat output of 85,000 BTU/h from its 3.04 cubic foot firebox. It is the largest-area Osburn wood fireplace after the Horizon.
Is it catalytic, and where is it made?
It is a non-catalytic wood fireplace, carefully crafted in Canada, designed to maximize heat output while minimizing emissions: 1.9 g/h average particulate emissions, 65% average overall efficiency (HHV) and 71.6% optimum overall efficiency on dry cordwood cut to 16 inches.
Do I need to choose a faceplate?
Yes. Osburn’s installation manual states that a faceplate must be installed on this fireplace, so the Faceplates selector on this page is a required choice: Traditional ships as standard and Modern is the upgrade. The door finish, timeless black or brushed silver, is a required selection too, with black standard.
What is the NightFlame ceramic glass option?
Robax NightFlame ceramic glass panels change appearance when the fire goes out, concealing the interior of the fireplace when it is not in use while providing a clear view of the fire when it burns. It is offered on this page as the Nightflame Black Glass option.
Can it distribute heat to other rooms?
A Forced Air Kit and a Traditional Gravity Kit are offered under Other Accessories on this page, with a 6-inch by 25-foot insulated flex pipe for forced air under Fresh Air & Projection Kits. Whether and how they are used depends on your installation, so follow the owner’s manual and your installer.
How long does it burn?
Maximum burn time is 8 hours from an EPA loading volume of 2.61 cubic feet, with an overall heat output rate of 25,900 to 78,200 BTU/h depending on the air setting. Those figures assume the recommended fuel: dry, seasoned cordwood cut to 16 inches.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
