Superior DRC3000: a mid size direct vent gas fireplace with a modern crushed glass fire in three sizes
The Superior DRC3000 is a mid size direct vent gas fireplace built into the wall. It comes in widths of 35, 40, or 45 inches and is about 17 inches deep. Pick the size on the page. The flames rise through the included bed of black reflective crushed glass, with no logs, for a clean, modern look. It is the contemporary twin of the DRT3000.
It is set up for natural gas, and a propane conversion kit is on the page. Direct vent means a sealed pipe runs to the outside. It brings in air for the fire and carries the exhaust out, so the fire never uses the air in your room. Electronic ignition lights it with a button, and a battery backup keeps it running when the power is out. On the page you pick the front. The plain black Vista frame is the simplest option, while the Reflection front comes in black or warm chestnut. You can add a driftwood log set, a black porcelain liner, and a blower. FAQ
What sizes does the DRC3000 come in and how are they framed?
Three widths on the Size selector: 35 in, 40 in and 45 in. The Specifications tab lists framing of 35-7/8 in wide by 36-1/4 in high for the 35, and 40-7/8 or 45-7/8 in wide by 41-1/4 in high for the 40 and 45, all 18-1/2 in deep thanks to the mid-size 17 in cabinet depth. It is the contemporary sibling of the DRT3000, with crushed glass media instead of logs.
Is a front or facade included, or do I have to choose one?
You have to choose one: the Features tab says a face selection is required, which is why the Fronts and Trim selector is a mandatory pick for each size. The black Vista inside-fit frame is the entry option; the Reflection overlap-fit fronts in black or warm chestnut are the designer alternatives. A facade stone stop kit, liners, surrounds and a driftwood log set are optional rows below it.
Does the DRC3000 keep running in a power outage?
Yes. It is an electronic ignition fireplace with a seamless battery backup (IPI/CPI switch standard), so the burner still lights and runs when household power drops; only a blower or powered accessory pauses. Normal operation uses line power at the junction box, so have an electrical supply roughed in during framing. Blowers and remotes are optional rows on the selectors.
Does it need a chimney?
No. It is a sealed direct vent fireplace with a combination top/rear flue collar, so it vents through the roof or straight out an exterior wall with the approved coaxial vent pipe and never uses room air for combustion. The vent components are a separate purchase sized by your installer from the manual’s vent tables. Compare other direct vent fireplaces by width.
What media comes standard and what can I change?
Reflective black crushed glass media is included, with a black painted interior behind it. The Floor Media selector offers blue reflective glass, platinum glass or a 25-piece river rock set to change the look, and the Log Set row adds a driftwood set for a more transitional fire. The Liner Kit row switches the interior to black reflective porcelain that mirrors the flames.
Can I run it on propane?
The DRC3000 sold here is the natural gas (DEN) version. For propane, the Accessories row for your size lists an NG to LP conversion kit (and LP to NG if you ever switch back); the conversion must be carried out by a qualified gas technician following the installation manual. Exterior and interior touch-up paint sit on the same row.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. Sizing and heating need to be figured out, as does the building, but we have always had a helpful partner on our side. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
