Real Fyre Royal English Oak: evenly shaped oak logs for a traditional fireplace
The Real Fyre Royal English Oak is a vented gas log set. The evenly shaped logs copy mature English oak. Their formal look suits a traditional room. It is a vented set, so it needs a real fireplace with a working chimney and burns with the damper open. You get the tallest and most natural flames, and most of the heat goes up the chimney. It comes in five sizes, from 18 to 42 inches. Measure your firebox at the front, at the back, and front to back, and if you land between two sizes, take the smaller set.
Each log is molded from a real piece of wood, cast in a ceramic made for high heat with a steel rod inside, and painted by hand. The price is for the logs only. On the page you pick natural gas or propane and add the burner. The choices are the G45, or the G45 in stainless steel for an outdoor fireplace. You also pick how it lights: by hand with a match on natural gas, with a knob and a pilot light that stays lit, or with a remote. A Fyreback, a steel panel that stands behind the fire, is optional. What gives the Royal English Oak its stately look?
The B set is modeled on mature English oak, with formal, evenly proportioned logs and high-definition bark that suits traditional interiors, paneled studies, and classic mantels. Within the Classic Series it is the dressed-up counterpart to the rougher stacks, bringing old-world composure to the hearth rather than a backwoods character.
What size should I order for my fireplace?
The Royal English Oak comes in five widths: 18, 24, 30, 36, and 42 inches. Compare those with the width at the front of your firebox, the width at the rear wall, and the depth, then choose the smaller set if you fall between sizes. The whole Classic Series sizes the same way, so measuring once lets you shop the entire line.
Which burners can sit under these logs?
Three vented options from the spec: the G4, the G45, and the G45 in stainless steel. Each is paired with the B logs at purchase and determines the BTU output, fuel type, and available controls. The stainless G45 is the pick when you want extra corrosion resistance from the burner pan.
How do I keep gas logs looking fresh?
Once a season, with the set cold and the gas off, dust the B logs using a soft brush or a vacuum with a brush attachment, and clear any debris from around the burner ports. Never scrub with water or cleaners, since the painted ceramic finish is meant to stay dry. Reposition each log exactly per the placement diagram afterward.
Is this a vented or ventless set, and why does it matter?
The Royal English Oak is fully vented: it burns with the damper open and sends combustion byproducts up a working flue, which is what allows its tall, wood-like flame. Ventless sets make the opposite trade, closed-damper heating efficiency with an oxygen depletion sensor, and some local codes restrict them. The systems are not interchangeable, and a vented B stack must never be run unvented.
What keeps these logs from cracking over years of fires?
Real Fyre casts the B logs in superior refractory ceramics formulated to hold their strength at high temperatures, then reinforces every log with an internal steel rod. That construction is why the set keeps radiating heat after the burner shuts down, and why sagging or crumbling logs are not a normal part of ownership.
Is a remote control an option with gas logs?
It can be. Remote and wall-switch operation depends on the control package you choose for the burner, not on the logs themselves. Configure the G4 or G45 under your Royal English Oak with a compatible valve and ignition and you can light and adjust the fire from the sofa. Match-lit setups, by contrast, stay fully manual.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
