SimpliFire Format: a wall mount electric fireplace with its floating mantel included
The SimpliFire Format is a wall mount linear electric fireplace. Mantel widths range from 43 to 60 inches. Pick the mantel width on the page. The 36 inch fireplace has glass about 13 inches tall. Clear crystals and a high definition timber log set fill the ember bed beneath the flames. You choose the flame color and the ember bed color, so the fire can look natural or match your room. Colored downlights under the mantel light the wall below the fire. The price covers the fireplace and the white floating mantel that hangs with it, so there is no construction.
It needs no gas line and no chimney. Plug it into a wall outlet on its own circuit, or have an electrician hardwire it. It gives 5,000 BTU of heat, enough to take the chill off the room. Run the flames with or without heat. It comes with a remote, and there are buttons on the fireplace itself. What exactly is included: the fireplace, the mantel, or both?
Both. This listing bundles the Format 36 electric fireplace (SF-FORMAT36) with a white floating mantel kit, and you pick the 43, 50 or 60-inch mantel width on the Size selector; the larger mantels add to the base price as shown there. Clear crystal media, a one-piece ShadowGlo Alpine Timber log set and the multifunction remote come standard with the fireplace.
Does it need any construction to install?
No. The Format is a wall-mount fireplace, described as zero hassle to hang, and the floating mantel gives the clean, built-in look without opening the wall. The owner’s manual and the mantel attachment instructions in the Manuals tab cover the bracket, anchors and the order of assembly. Have the power location planned before you hang it so the cord or hardwire connection stays hidden.
Is this fireplace plug-in or hardwired?
Either. The installation manual says the unit comes with a power cord attached for a grounded 120 V outlet and can be reconfigured for a hard-wired connection using the included terminal block. It needs a minimum 15 amp, 120 V circuit, a dedicated circuit is recommended, and the manual warns never to run it from an extension cord or power strip.
How much heat does the Format give off, and can I run it without heat?
The specification lists 5,000 BTU/hr, which is supplemental warmth for the room rather than primary heating. Heat is adjustable and can be switched off entirely, so the four flame colors and 13 ember-bed colors run on their own all year. Thermostat, lighting and on/off are controlled from the remote or the buttons on the face of the fireplace.
What is the mantel lighting?
Multi-color accent lighting built into the underside of the floating mantel. The Features tab calls it moody mantel downlighting, and you can choose the color to suit the room or match the flame and ember settings, so the fireplace reads as a designed feature even when the flames are off. It is controlled with the same remote as the fire display.
How big is it, and how large is the viewing area?
With the mantel fitted the assembly is 43-5/16, 50 or 59-7/8 inches wide depending on the mantel you choose, 23-5/16 inches tall and 9-7/8 inches deep. The fire viewing area is the same on all three, 36-1/16 by 12-5/8 inches, because the fireplace itself is the same 36-inch unit. Architect guides for each mantel size are linked in the Manuals tab.
Can I install it on a covered porch?
No. The installation manual states not to use this fireplace outdoors, and it is listed as an indoor unit. For a covered patio, look at the Forum outdoor model; for other indoor wall-hung options, browse our wall-mounted electric fireplace range.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
