SimpliFire Forum: an outdoor electric fireplace with no heat
The SimpliFire Forum is an outdoor linear electric fireplace for a covered porch, patio, or outdoor kitchen wall. It comes in two widths from 43 to 55 inches, with glass 15 inches tall. Pick the size on the page. Clear crystals and driftwood logs sit over glowing embers. You choose the flame color and the ember bed color, so the fire can look natural or match your room. It is built for a covered porch or patio, with coated parts and logs that stand up to sun and rain. It looks best out of direct sun so the flames show. Your builder frames it into an outdoor wall and runs stone or tile to the edge, or frames it with the overlap front in the box.
It needs no gas line, no propane tank, and no chimney. Plug it into an outdoor outlet on its own circuit, or have an electrician hardwire it. It gives off no heat at all, so it is for the look of the fire, and you can hang a TV right above it. It comes with a remote, and there are buttons on the fireplace itself. In the box you get the crystals, the driftwood logs, the overlap front, and the remote. You can add a ShadowGlo log set, high definition logs in Alpine Timber or Natural Birch, or a drain pan that carries rain water out of the wall. Want heat too? Does the Forum give off heat?
No. The Forum is a heater-free fire feature, as the Features tab and description both state, so it is about ambiance on the deck or patio rather than warming the space. The upside is that with no heat you can safely place a TV or artwork directly above it. Four flame colors, 13 ember-bed colors and adjustable brightness set the mood.
How weatherproof is it, and can it get rained on?
The owner’s manual describes it as weather resistant with coated components, corrosion-resistant materials and UV-resistant logs, designed for indoor or outdoor use in a framed wall. It sheds moderate rain, but the builder must provide drainage under the unit and the manufacturer recommends the chase sit outside the home’s weather envelope and out of direct sunlight, which washes out the flame.
Do I need a GFCI outlet for it?
Yes. The manual says the Forum ships with a GFCI-protected power cord installed, and if you hardwire it outdoors the circuit must be GFCI protected. It needs a minimum 15 amp, 120 V circuit, and extension cords or power strips are not allowed. Have the outlet or hardwire location roughed in near the framed opening before finishing.
Can I mount a TV above it?
Yes. Because the Forum produces no heat, the description says you can safely place a TV or artwork directly above the fireplace. Note the included remote is not outdoor rated, so keep it somewhere dry; the manual also mentions some TV remotes can trigger the fireplace, which is normal. What is the optional drain pan for?
The Forum is designed to drain water that gets into the firebox, and the manual says some installations need a pan under the unit to route that water out of the chase. The drain pan appears on the selector after you choose the 43 or 55-inch size, with its price shown there, and its installation sheet is linked in the Manuals tab.
What media is included, and what are the log set options?
Clear crystal media and driftwood logs with glowing embers come standard. For a different look, the ShadowGlo HD Alpine Timber and Natural Birch log sets are offered on the fire bed selector above the price. Both are optional and priced there, and the ShadowGlo instruction sheet is under Owner’s Manual in the Manuals tab.
How is it finished into the wall outdoors?
Two ways: bring stone or tile right up to the edge for a seamless, built-in look, or use the included overlap front to frame the opening. The specification lists a framing depth of 9 inches, a framing height of 18-1/2 inches and a framing width of 46-1/4 or 58-1/4 inches. Architect guides for both sizes are in the Manuals tab.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. Sizing and heating need to be figured out, as does the building, but we have always had a helpful partner on our side. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
