Superior DRT4200: a full size direct vent gas fireplace with the blower, lights, and remote built in
The Superior DRT4200 is a direct vent gas fireplace built into the wall. It comes in widths of 40 or 45 inches and is about 21 inches deep, giving you a roomy firebox with a tall log stack. Pick the size on the page. This is the fully loaded version of Superior’s full size fireplace. Direct vent means a sealed pipe runs to the outside. It brings in air for the fire and carries the exhaust out, so the fire never uses the air in your room. It puts out up to 36,000 BTU on the 40 and 42,000 BTU on the 45.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Electronic ignition lights it with a button, and a battery backup keeps it running when the power is out. A six speed blower is built in to push heat into the room. Lights inside the firebox have six settings, so it glows even with the fire off. The included touch remote controls the flame, blower, lights, and thermostat. On the page you pick the front, black or warm chestnut, and the liner for the inside walls, black porcelain or stacked stone. Both are required. You can add a surround and glowing embers. What makes the DRT4200 different from the DRT4000?
Same full-size 21 in deep firebox in 40 in and 45 in widths, but the DRT4200 comes fully equipped: a factory-installed six-speed blower, interior illumination with six settings, the multi-function touch remote and ceramic glass are standard, and it runs hotter at 36,000-24,000 BTU for the 40 and 42,000-25,000 BTU for the 45. Framing is 40-7/8 or 45-7/8 in wide, 41-1/4 in high and 23 in deep.
What do I need to choose on the selectors?
A front and an interior are both required per the Features tab: pick a Vista, Reflection or Craftsman front on the Fronts and Trim row and black reflective porcelain or a stacked ceramic liner on the Liner row for your size. Stainless surrounds, the facade stone stop kit, embers, volcanic stone and touch-up paint are optional. Fuel is chosen on the Fuel selector.
Does it keep working in a power outage?
Yes. The electronic ignition includes a seamless battery backup with the IPI/CPI switch standard, so the fire still lights and runs; the built-in blower and interior lighting resume when household power returns. Because the blower is factory installed, have an electrical supply roughed in at the fireplace.
Natural gas or propane?
Both, chosen on the Fuel selector (TEP models are propane). For a later change the Fuel Conversion row for your size lists NG to LP and LP to NG kits for a qualified gas technician. Compare other equipped models among our direct vent fireplaces.
How is it vented?
It is a sealed direct vent fireplace with a top flue outlet, so it vents through the roof or up and out an exterior wall using the approved coaxial vent pipe, never drawing room air. Vent pipe and termination are sized by your installer from the installation manual linked in the Manuals tab and are supplied separately.
What does the interior illumination do?
LED lighting inside the firebox has six settings and lights the log set and liner whether or not the fire is burning, so the fireplace stays a focal point in summer. It is controlled from the included multi-function touch remote together with the thermostat, flame height and blower speed, and it needs the household power supply rather than the battery backup.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. She was always super responsive and helpful throughout the process. Don't kid yourself, getting a really nice sauna is not that easy. Sizing and heating need to be figured out, as does the building, but we have always had a helpful partner on our side. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
