Superior DRT6300: a big direct vent gas fireplace with a floor level fire and tall flames
The Superior DRT6300 is a large direct vent gas fireplace built into the wall. It comes in widths of 40 or 45 inches. Pick the size on the page. The firebox floor sits flush with your hearth, so the fire looks like it is burning right on the floor, as it would in a masonry fireplace. The burner makes tall flames over a split oak log set and a glowing ember bed. The gas controls are hidden beside the opening, so stone or tile can run neatly around the front. It puts out up to 50,000 BTU on the 40 and 57,000 BTU on the 45, with six flame settings.
It is set up for natural gas, and a propane conversion kit is on the page. Direct vent means a sealed pipe runs to the outside. It brings in air for the fire and carries the exhaust out, so the fire never uses the air in your room. Electronic ignition lights it with a button, and a battery backup keeps it running when the power is out. A remote for the flame comes with it. On the page you pick the log set and the liner for the inside walls, black porcelain or buff ceramic brick. Both are required. You can add andirons in a mission or classic style. How much heat does the DRT6300 put out?
The Specifications tab lists 50,000 down to 26,500 BTU for the 40 in model and 57,000 down to 35,000 BTU for the 45 in, with six flame settings. Framing is 50-3/4 in wide by 45 in high for the 40 and 56-7/8 by 50 in for the 45, both 26 in deep. It is the traditional log-set version of the flush-hearth DRC6300.
Is the log set included?
The split oak log set is chosen on the Log Set selector, which is a required pick, so the base price covers the firebox and the log set is added there. An interior liner is required as well: black porcelain, buff herringbone or buff rustic ceramic on the Liner row. Mission or Classic andirons and glowing embers are optional extras on the rows below.
Does it run in a power outage?
Yes. The electronic ignition has a battery backup, so the fire keeps lighting and running when the power drops. The full-function remote for flame control is included, and the gas controls are hidden to the side of the opening for a clean finish. An electrical supply is still needed at the unit for normal operation.
Can it be power vented?
Yes. The Features tab lists dedicated power-vent models (natural gas only) for installations where a normal vent run will not work, and the Accessories row offers the Power Vent Kit. Natural gas or propane?
The DRT6300 ships for natural gas. The Accessories row lists NG to LP and LP to NG conversion kits for a qualified gas technician; note the power-vent versions are natural gas only. Exterior touch-up paint and volcanic stone are on the same row.
What glass does it use?
Ceramic glass, which transfers more radiant heat into the room than tempered glass and suits the DRT6300’s high output; a protective screen is included as the barrier. The clean-face, flush hearth design lets your wall finish run to the edge of the opening with no visible frame.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. Sizing and heating need to be figured out, as does the building, but we have always had a helpful partner on our side. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
