The Cove Fire Pit: a long, low powder-coated fire pit in five lengths
The Outdoor Plus Cove fire pit is a rectangular gas fire pit that comes in five lengths, from 48 inches up to a full eight feet, so it fits a small patio or a long terrace. It is handmade in the USA from heavy steel with a baked-on powder coat in many colors, and the flame runs along its length so everyone seated beside it feels the warmth.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Light it with a match, or add electronic ignition and start it with a button. The burner, pan, hose, fittings, and lava rock are included; a key valve and cover are optional. Want a different shape? Browse all our Outdoor Plus fire pits. The Cove fire pit ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
How long can I get the Cove?
Five lengths: 48, 60, 72, 84, and 96 inches (OPT-COVEPC48 through OPT-COVEPC96) — a full eight feet at the top end. That range is the Cove superpower: the same rectangular design scales from an intimate patio to a terrace centerpiece without changing character. Explore the size spread in our gas fire pit category.
What comes with it?
The Cove arrives complete: fire pan, burner, key valve with key, gas hose, and lava rock. The key valve is worth noting — flame control lives right at the unit, adjusted by a removable key, so you set the fire like a dimmer and pocket the control.
What finish colors are offered?
Fifteen oven-cured powder coats: Black, White, Silver Vein, Java, Gray, Pewter, Copper Vein, Olive Green, Mist, Soft White, Onyx Black, Bronze Hammertone, Sapphire Blue, White Vein and Gold Vein. Powder coating on the Cove steel body is baked on electrostatically, holding color through sun and seasons far better than paint — pick to match or to contrast your hardscape.
How much heat does a long rectangle produce?
The Cove distributes flame down its length, so warmth lands along an entire row of seating instead of one hot center. At full valve the output is substantial — gas flame runs past 1,000 degrees at source — and at low flame it becomes evening-long ambient comfort.
Deck installation — realistic?
Yes, routinely, because the Cove is emberless gas. Do the diligence: confirm the deck structure for the longer sizes, keep every spec-sheet clearance, and use a protective pad so radiant heat never works on the boards below. Then clear it with local code and enjoy.
What is shutdown like?
Turn the key valve closed and the Cove is out — all eight feet of it, if you went big — in one motion. No embers, nothing to soak or stir. Let the lava rock cool briefly, then cover it if rain is due.
Can an outdoor rug go underneath?
No — keep rugs clear of the Cove footprint. Trapped heat under the base and radiant heat past the rim will shorten any rug life dramatically, sometimes in one evening. Hard surface below, rug alongside where the seating lives: that is the layout that lasts.
