SaunaLife E6: a three person barrel sauna kit two people can build in a day
The SaunaLife E6 is a three person outdoor barrel sauna kit. It is built from thermo-spruce, which is spruce baked in a kiln so it shrugs off moisture and lasts up to twice as long as cedar. Steel bands hold the barrel tight. A black shingle roof keeps the rain off, and a bronze tinted glass door lets daylight in. The barrel is about 59 inches long and 81 inches across, and you can stand up inside. A curved bench with a backrest runs along each side.
The kit includes the staves, the benches, the glass door, the steel bands, the shingle roof kit, the cradles it sits on, and the LED lights. The white LED light bar dims from your phone or a remote. Two people can build it in about a day. On the page you can add a half moon window in the back wall. The heater is not included, so pick one of the 4 electric heater packages on the page, from 6 to 7.5 kW; each comes with its control and stones. How many people does this barrel seat?
It is designed for up to three bathers on two facing benches, each with a 17.8-inch-deep seat and a 15-inch-high backrest in knot-free Thermo-Aspen. The 77-inch interior diameter gives about six feet five inches of headroom at the center, so adults sit upright comfortably on both sides.
How big is the footprint?

Can I pour water over the stones for steam?
Yes, that is part of the design. With an electric heater installed you can ladle water over the stones to produce steam. The heater selector on this page offers Harvia KIP 6kW packages with built-in or Wi-Fi controls, the Harvia Wall 6kW package, and a HUUM DROP 7.5kW kit with the UKU controller, all including stones, with prices shown on the selector.
Can I get it with a rear window?
Yes. The standard E6 has a solid back, and the Rear Window option on this page lets you add one to your order, with any price difference shown on the selector. The window brings extra natural light into the half-circle back wall, which makes the compact interior feel noticeably larger.
What lighting options does it have?
A white LED light bar with Wi-Fi app control and handheld remote is included, and the product description notes you can add a second bar if you want more light. Will rain get inside?
No, the barrel is built to shed water: a watertight black shingle kit covers the roofline, stainless steel bands hold the staves tight, and dual floor drains move any interior water out, keeping the room stable even if the barrel shifts. Air intake and exhaust vents also clear moisture after each session.
How do I keep the wood looking good?
Thermo-Spruce is a low-upkeep exterior that lasts up to twice as long as cedar, and a complimentary 16.9-ounce bottle of paraffin oil comes in the kit to preserve its luster. A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
