The Finnmark Designs FD-1 is a one person indoor infrared sauna. Full spectrum means it mixes two kinds of infrared heaters, carbon panels for gentle all over warmth and Spectrum Plus heaters for stronger direct heat. Red light lamps in the ceiling add a warm glow. The outside is thermo-aspen, which is aspen baked in a kiln so it will not warp or rot. The inside is Western Canadian cedar, a smooth wood that resists mold. A full glass door lets in light. It takes up about 37 by 38 inches of floor space, so it fits a bathroom corner or a spare room.
It plugs into a standard 120 volt household outlet, so no electrician is needed. The room warms to 170 degrees in about an hour. Inside you get a bench, a touchscreen control panel with Bluetooth and speakers, and adjustable feet for an uneven floor. It comes as a kit of finished panels that screw together. It plugs into a standard three-prong 120 V, 15 A household outlet (NEMA 5-15P) and draws 1,750 W, so no electrician is required. The linked manual asks for a properly grounded outlet, no extension cords or overloaded shared circuits, and recommends a GFCI in any potentially damp location. If the breaker trips, the manual says to check that the circuit is not shared with other appliances.
The cabin measures 38 in wide, 38 in deep and 78 in tall outside, with a 34 x 32 x 70 in interior of about 44 cubic feet. The manual asks for at least 3 inches of clearance on the top and all sides so the power cord stays reachable, so plan on roughly a 44 x 44 in footprint under an 81 in ceiling. It is freestanding and is not meant to be built into a wall or closet.
The infrared heaters top out at 170 F, and the controller shuts the cabin down on an HH code if that limit is exceeded. The product page says it reaches 170 F in under an hour on a standard outlet, while the manual suggests 15 to 20 minutes of warm-up before a session and notes the time depends on room temperature and placement. Typical sessions run 30 to 45 minutes.
It is sold as an indoor sauna. The manual allows outdoor placement only under an awning or overhang, on a hard, dry, level surface, and with the Finnmark waterproof cover fitted; placing it outside without a cover voids the warranty. The FD-1 cover is listed in the Recommended Add-Ons selector on this page, with its price shown there, so you can add it to the same order.
Full spectrum means the cabin pairs long-wave Spectrum Carbon 360 panels with UL-listed short-wave Spectrum Plus heaters, giving surface warmth plus deeper-penetrating heat, and the ceiling adds LED near-infrared lights with a red-light mode. The page states the sauna was EMF-tested by a NASA award-winning facility and rated low EMF. Compare it with the other infrared saunas we carry.
The Limited Warranty section of the manual linked in the Manual tab covers the original residential purchaser: Spectrum Plus heaters for life, carbon heaters, craftsmanship, electrical components and audio components for 10 years, the lighting remote for 1 year, and commercial use for 5 years. Freight for warranty parts is the customer’s responsibility after the first 30 days, and broken glass and bulbs are excluded.
It ships on a wooden pallet by appointment with curbside delivery; the sauna weighs 301 lb and 349 lb as shipped including the 48 lb pallet. Assembly is a panel kit: bottom, back, sides, front with the glass door, top and bench, joined with screws and plug-in heater connectors. A screwdriver and two people for the top panel are all it takes, and the feet adjust for uneven floors.

I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
