SaunaLife E8G: a six person barrel sauna kit with a full glass front
The SaunaLife E8G is a six person outdoor barrel sauna kit with a full glass front. Bronze tinted glass panels sit on both sides of a matching glass door, so the long room feels bright and open to the yard. It is built from thermo-spruce, which is spruce baked in a kiln so it shrugs off moisture and lasts up to twice as long as cedar. Steel bands hold the barrel tight, and a black shingle roof keeps the rain off. The barrel is about 87 inches long and 81 inches across, with room to stand up inside. A curved bench with a backrest runs along each side. You can dim the white LED light bar from your phone or a remote.
The kit includes the staves, the benches, the glass front and door, the steel bands, the shingle roof kit, the cradles it sits on, and the LED lights. Two people can build it in about a day. The heater is not included, so pick one of the 5 electric heater packages on the page, from 8 to 10.5 kW; each comes with its control and stones. Can I change the back wall of this barrel?
Yes. The Choose Your Style selector on this page lets you configure the rear of the barrel: keep the standard solid back, add a rear window, or order a full glass treatment. Whatever configuration you pick is confirmed with your order, and any price difference for the style you choose is shown right on the selector.
What does the glass front on the E8G include?
The front wall is made of three separate tempered bronze glass sections, each 5/16 inch thick: a 66.5-inch-high glass door with a simple black handle plus two fixed side segments. The tempered surface will not break or crack with normal use, keeps the inside insulated, and lets natural light pour into the room.
Which heaters are offered for this sauna?
The heater selector lists Harvia KIP 8kW packages with either built-in or Wi-Fi digital controls, the Harvia Wall 8kW kit with built-in controls, a HUUM DROP 9kW kit with the UKU Wi-Fi controller, and a HIVE Mini 10.5kW kit. All include sauna stones, and each package’s price appears on the selector when you choose it.
How much room do six people really have?
The interior runs 78.5 inches long by 77 inches in diameter, and the two benches at opposite ends have 17.8-inch-deep seats with 15-inch backrests. That gives six bathers genuine seating rather than a squeeze, and the full-glass front keeps the barrel from feeling closed in even when it is full.
Can I install it myself?
Yes, the design is engineered for one-day installation with two people. Full-length Thermo-Spruce staves, stainless steel barrel bands, spruce cradles and fascia boards, the black roof shingle kit, a fastener kit, two spare staves, and complete installation instructions are all included, so no extra structural materials are needed for a standard backyard setup.
Can I add more lighting than the included LED bar?
The white LED light bar with Wi-Fi app control comes standard. If you want more ambiance, the Sauna Add-Ons selector on this page offers SaunaLife color LED lighting made for the ERGO-Series barrels, alongside bucket-and-ladle sets and the SaunaZone with ladle, so the upgrade ships together with your sauna in one order.
How long will the wood last outdoors?
The barrel is Thermo-Spruce, which SaunaLife rates to last up to twice as long as cedar, with superior thermal resistance and a stable, chemical-free character. A bottle of paraffin oil is included to maintain the finish. You can see the same material across the rest of our SaunaLife lineup.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
