Real Fyre Vented Fyre Spheres: ceramic spheres instead of logs for a modern fireplace
The Real Fyre Vented Fyre Spheres is a vented set of ceramic fire spheres that takes the place of logs. The round shapes suit a modern room. Choose 4 or 5 inch spheres in Epic Black or Graystone. Carrera Marble comes only in the 24 inch set with 4 inch spheres. It is a vented set, so it needs a real fireplace with a working chimney and burns with the damper open. You get the tallest and most natural flames, and most of the heat goes up the chimney. It comes in 18, 24, or 30 inch sets. Measure your firebox at the front, at the back, and front to back, and if you land between two sizes, take the smaller set.
The spheres are ceramic, made to sit in the flame, and the burner wraps its flame around them. The price is for the spheres only. On the page you pick natural gas or propane and add the P45 pan burner. You also pick how it lights: by hand with a match on natural gas, with a knob and a pilot light that stays lit, or with a remote that sets the flame height. A Fyreback, a steel panel that stands behind the fire, is optional. Want mixed sizes? See the Real Fyre Mixed Select Fyre Spheres. The Real Fyre Vented Fyre Spheres ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
Can I get a sphere fireplace look with a vented setup?
Yes, and this is the set that does it. The Vented Fyre Spheres put Real Fyre’s contemporary sphere media on the P45 Dual Pan vented burner, damper open, with a realistic vented flame enveloping the spheres. The brand’s other sphere systems run vent-free; the FS line brings the look to vented fireboxes.
What is the difference between the FS4 and FS5 sets?
Sphere diameter: FS4 sets use 4-inch spheres and FS5 sets use 5-inch, each offered in 18, 24, and 30-inch set widths to suit the matching P45 burner. The larger spheres read bolder and more sculptural, while the 4-inch scale keeps tighter fireboxes in proportion.
What kind of burner sits under the spheres?
The P45 Dual Pan vented burner, the only system listed for the FS sets. Its twin-pan design creates the dynamic flame pattern that wraps and envelops the spheres rather than rising in a single line. Like all vented gas log systems, it operates with the fireplace damper open.
Which finishes can I order?
Three appear across the line: Carrera Marble with its light veining, dramatic Epic Black, and soft, neutral Graystone. Availability varies by sphere size and set width, with Epic Black and Graystone offered most broadly across the FS run, so check the size you need against the finish you want.
How do fireplace spheres compare with a log set?
Functionally they are siblings: purpose-built fire media on a vented gas burner, radiating warmth while the fire runs. Aesthetically they diverge completely, as the FS spheres trade bark-and-grain realism for clean geometry that suits modern and transitional rooms. Choose by the architecture around the fireplace, not by performance.
Do Fyre Spheres exist in both vented and vent-free forms?
They do, and the FS sets are the vented side of the family, built around the P45 pan burner and an open damper. Real Fyre’s vent-free contemporary burners carry the sphere look for code-permitting installations that want closed-damper heat. Same design language, two different combustion platforms.
Are the spheres themselves heat-proof?
Yes. Real Fyre calls the FS spheres robust for a reason: they are manufactured to sit in direct flame on the P45 burner day after day, which ordinary ceramic decor is not. Give them time to cool completely after a burn, and follow the placement sheet whenever you handle or reset them.
