SaunaLife CL3GB: a compact cube with a glass front and black exterior paint
The SaunaLife CL3GB is an outdoor sauna kit with a cube shape and room for two. It takes up about 53 by 51 inches, with a bronze tinted glass front wall and door for a view outside. This B version includes black exterior paint for you to brush on yourself. Inside, heat treated aspen benches and a matching backrest give you a place to settle in. The seating includes an upper bench, a lower bench, and a small bench to the side. The kit also comes with roof shingles.
The heater is sold separately, so choose one of the 3 electric heater packages on the page, all 4.5 kW, each with its control and stones. An included white LED light bar lets you light the room using a phone app over Wi-Fi or the handheld remote. FAQ
What does the B in the model name mean, and do I have to paint it myself?
B means the SaunaLife CL3GB includes two containers of black exterior sauna paint, and yes, you brush it on yourself after assembly. Follow the paint manual on the Manual tab and apply it only outside, never inside the hot room. The paint expands and contracts with the weather and will need fresh coats over the years to stay black.
Does this sauna come with a heater, and what size should I pick?
No, a heater is not included. The Select Heater add-on on this page offers three packages sized for this room, all 4.5 kW, each with controls and stones. Choose one when ordering or buy one later.
What electrical work does it need?
Your site's wiring needs a licensed electrician to hardwire the heater on its own dedicated 240 volt circuit, using its manual to determine the breaker and wire size. It cannot plug in, use an extension cord, or share a dryer, hot tub, or EV circuit. Have your electrician check local requirements for the outdoor run, which uses buried conduit and a weatherproof disconnect, and mount the LED power unit outside the hot room in a weatherproof box you provide.
What do I put under it? Can it go on a deck?
Yes, if your deck is built to carry the weight, which depends on your deck's structure. Use a firm, flat, level base such as compacted gravel topped with pavers, a concrete slab, or a suitable deck, and consult the Specifications tab for the 990 pound shipping weight. Avoid bare grass or soil because it holds moisture against the wood, and an uneven base can keep the wall pieces from lining up and the door from latching.
How long does it take to build?
Plan on a full weekend for a first build, based on owner reports. SaunaLife rates its cube kits for assembly by two people, and hanging the door is the step to take slowly. Plan for the electrician's visit on a separate day.
Does the glass front lose heat in winter?
Yes, the glass front loses a little more heat in deep cold, though the sauna is built for year-round outdoor use. In freezing weather, heating often takes 45 to 90 minutes instead of 30 to 45 minutes. Keep the vents clear.
How many people really fit?
Two people is the maximum bench capacity. Plan on one person for stretching out, and check the upper bench's 49.2 inches of width and 20.5 inches of depth against the room you need to lie down.
What is thermo spruce, and does it smell like a sauna?
Thermo spruce is Nordic spruce treated with heat and steam in a kiln so it absorbs less moisture and moves less with the weather. It has a mild toasted smell, rather than cedar's strong aroma, and no resin. Bare wood turns silver gray over time, but this model uses black paint as its exterior finish.
How is it delivered?
It arrives by freight truck on a wooden pallet, by appointment, with curbside delivery only. The driver lowers the pallet to the ground, so have two or three people ready to carry the pieces to your assembly spot. Inspect the crate before signing and note any damage on the receipt.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
