Saunum Air 7: for a two to four person home sauna
The Saunum Air 7 is a floor standing electric sauna heater. Its 7 kW output suits home sauna rooms of 177 to 318 cubic feet. A quiet fan draws the hottest air down from the ceiling and blends it with cooler air near the floor. It sends the mixed air back into the room down low, helping the lower bench feel as warm as the upper bench and making the steam feel softer. The heater comes with a steel stone basket and the air mixing system. Its telescopic intake extends up to the ceiling. After your session, the fan also helps the room dry out.
It needs the Saunum AirIQ Wi-Fi control to run, and you add that on the page. Sauna stones are sold separately, so add the 4 boxes it needs on the page. FAQ
Is the Air 7 sold as a complete heater?
The heater comes with its stainless steel stone basket, heat equalizing module, telescopic hot-air intake, three element air tunnels, seven Himalayan salt spheres, protective grille, and the element, equalizer, sensor, door sensor and display cables. The control and stones are sold separately and both sit on this page: the AirIQ under Sauna Heater Control (Required) and 33 lb boxes of stones under Sauna Stones (Required).
What room size does a 6.4 kW heater cover?
The Specifications tab rates the Air 7 for 177 to 282 cubic feet with a minimum ceiling of 71.48 inches, and the telescopic intake spans 71.48 to 94.49 inches. Measure length by width by height in feet, then add for windows, glass doors and masonry with the Sizing Your Saunum sheet in the Manual tab. The manual suggests the larger heater whenever a result falls between two sizes.
What are the electrical requirements?
240 V single phase at 26.67 A. The Specifications tab lists a 40 A breaker and two number 8 conductors plus neutral and ground to the power unit, with the included 7-conductor element cable and 5-conductor equalizer cable between power unit and heater. A licensed electrician does the hardwiring to code, and the manual says the heater must not be fed through a GFCI breaker.
How many stones does the Air 7 hold?
The stone capacity is 132 to 154 lb of 2 to 4 inch rounded olivine stones, sold on this page in 33 lb boxes through the Sauna Stones selector. The Features tab notes each natural stone is unique, so an extra box gives you the pick of the best pieces. Load larger stones low, cover the elements fully, and restack at least yearly per the manual.
What does the AirIQ control add?
It is the required control for this heater; the manual says using any other control voids the warranty and UL listing. AirIQ mounts outside the sauna, sets 104 to 194 F, runs the three fan speeds, stores three presets and weekly schedules, and connects to the Saunum app for remote start with a door sensor safety lockout and sauna-ready notifications.
Can I pour water on it, and what temperature should I run?
Yes, the Features tab says the heater is engineered for water-tossing, and the fan can then help dry the room afterwards. The manual advises ladling 6 to 7 ounces of hot water at a time with people clear of splashes, recommends 149 to 176 F for bathing, and expects 45 to 90 minutes of heating in a properly insulated, correctly sized room.
What finish and accessories are available?
Model Options offers the stainless steel body shown or a black body. Operating Accessories lists the Air Deflector, the Saunum Safety Rail, which meets the manual requirement for a guardrail around the heater, and the Auto Leil water dispensing unit; salt refills, aroma oils and a bucket and ladle appear as further add-ons, with prices on the selectors. A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
