Saunum Air 7 package: the heater, control, and stones in one order
The Saunum Air 7 package is a floor standing electric sauna heater with its control and stones. You get the main pieces for a two to four person home sauna in one order. The 7 kW heater serves rooms of 177 to 318 cubic feet. Its quiet fan draws the hottest ceiling air down through an intake that extends toward the ceiling. It blends that air with cooler air near the floor and releases it low in the room. That helps the lower bench feel as warm as the upper bench and softens the steam.
The package includes the heater, the Saunum AirIQ Wi-Fi control with its power unit and door sensor, and 4 boxes of rounded sauna stones. On the page you choose stainless steel or Nordic black. The control panel goes outside the hot room. Add the optional AirIQ Button Set if you want to turn the fan on or off while sitting on the bench. Need the next size up? See the Saunum Air L 10 package. The Saunum Air 7 package ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.
FAQ
What is included in the Air 7 package?
The Includes tab lists the 6.4 kW Air 7 heater with stainless steel stone basket, heat equalizing module, telescopic hot-air intake, three element air tunnels, seven Himalayan salt spheres, protective grille, and the element, equalizer, sensor, door sensor and display cables, plus the AirIQ Wi-Fi control set with power unit and wall plate, and five 33 lb boxes of 2 to 4 inch sauna stones.
What size sauna room is this 6.4 kW heater meant for?
The Specifications tab rates it for rooms of 177 to 282 cubic feet. Multiply length by width by height in feet, then use the Sizing Your Saunum sheet in the Manual tab to add volume for glass, tile, brick or stone surfaces, which need extra heating power. The manual says if your result falls between two heater sizes, choose the larger one.
What electrical circuit does the Air 7 need?
It runs on 240 V single phase and draws 26.67 A; the Specifications tab lists a 40 A breaker and two number 8 conductors plus neutral and ground to the power unit. The heater is fed through the AirIQ power unit, must be hardwired by a licensed electrician to the NEC and local code, and the manual says not to connect it through a GFCI breaker.
Should the climate fan run while the sauna heats up?
No. The manual recommends keeping the equalizer fan off during heating so the room warms faster and the bench does not overheat, then switching it on just before you enter. The AirIQ panel selects speeds one to three. Keep feet and objects at least 20 inches from the fan outlet, and never leave the fan running in an empty room.
Can I start the sauna from my phone?
Yes. The included AirIQ Wi-Fi control connects to the Saunum app on iOS or Android, and lets you set a temperature between 104 and 194 F, pick one of three saved sauna profiles, schedule sessions for the week, and receive sauna-ready, heating, door-open and overheat notifications. A door sensor blocks remote starting if the door is open. The panel itself is mounted outside the sauna room.
Can I throw water on the stones, and how long does heat-up take?
Yes, the Features tab says it is engineered for water-tossing. The manual suggests ladling about 6 to 7 fluid ounces of hot water at a time, keeping people at a safe distance from splashes, and using only sauna-specific fragrances in the water. With proper insulation and correct sizing, the manual expects 45 to 90 minutes to reach temperature, and recommends bathing at 149 to 176 F.
Which finish and accessories can I choose on this page?
The Model Options selector chooses the stainless steel or black body. Under Operating Accessories you can add the Saunum Safety Rail, useful because the manual requires a guardrail around the heater to prevent burns, the Auto Leil automatic water dispensing unit, or the Air Deflector. Salt refills, aroma oils and a bucket and ladle are further options; prices show on each selector. More heaters are in our electric sauna heater range.
