SimpliFire Scion Trinity: a fire you can see from three sides
The SimpliFire Scion Trinity is a three sided linear electric fireplace for a wall, corner, or bay. It comes in two widths from 43 to 55 inches. Pick the size on the page. The glass is 15 inches tall, with driftwood logs over glowing embers in an extra deep bed below the flames. You choose the flame color and the ember bed color, so the fire can look natural or match your room. The same unit installs three ways: in a flat wall, in a corner so the fire shows on two sides, or in a bay so it shows on three. Built in means your builder frames it into the wall and runs tile, stone, or drywall right up to the edge, with no vents or screen showing.
It needs no gas line and no chimney. An electrician hardwires it, or it plugs into a wall outlet when it hangs with the mantel kit. It gives 5,000 BTU of heat, enough to take the chill off the room. Run the flames with or without heat. It comes with a remote, and there are buttons on the fireplace itself. In the box you get clear crystals, driftwood logs, and the remote. You can add a floating mantel kit so it hangs on the wall instead of being built in. ShadowGlo log sets, high definition logs that replace the standard set, come in Alpine Timber or Natural Birch. Prefer a front only view? See the SimpliFire Scion electric fireplace. The SimpliFire Scion Trinity ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
Can the Scion Trinity be installed as a corner or single-sided fireplace, or only three-sided?
All three. The same unit installs as a three-sided bay, a two-sided left or right corner, or a single-sided fireplace, so you choose the configuration on site rather than buying a different model. The Features tab lists the flush, built-in design with concealed heat vents for every layout, and the owner’s manual in the Manuals tab shows the framing for each one.
Does this three-sided electric fireplace have to be hardwired, or can it plug in?
The owner’s manual says the fireplace is designed to be hard-wired for 120 V, and a plug-in kit is supplied for wall-mounted installations. Either way it needs a minimum 15 amp, 120 V circuit; a dedicated circuit is not required but is preferred to avoid tripped breakers. Have an electrician run power to the opening before the wall is finished.
How much heat does it put out, and can I run the flames without heat?
The specification lists 5,000 BTU/hr for both the 43 and 55-inch sizes, which is supplemental warmth for the room rather than whole-house heating. The heater is optional: the remote controls the thermostat and a timer, and the Features tab notes you can enjoy the flames year-round with or without heat, with four flame colors and 13 ember-bed colors.
What comes in the box, and are the ShadowGlo log sets included?
Clear crystal media and driftwood logs with glowing embers come standard, along with the multifunction remote. The ShadowGlo high-definition log sets (Alpine Timber or Natural Birch) are optional upgrades; add either one from the log set selector above the price before you add the fireplace to the cart. Their instruction sheet is linked in the Manuals tab.
Can I wall-mount it instead of building it into the wall?
Yes. For a wall-mount installation choose the floating mantel kit on the selector (there is one for the 43-inch and one for the 55-inch size). The mantel kit instructions and architect guide are in the Manuals tab, and the plug-in kit supplied with the unit covers the electrical side. The flush, built-in look with materials to the edge remains the other option.
Which sizes are available and how big is the viewing area?
Two sizes: the 43 (42-1/2 inches wide) and the 55 (54-1/2 inches wide), both 22-1/4 inches tall and 11-1/4 inches deep. The viewing area is about 15 inches high, roughly 42-1/2 by 14-3/4 inches on the 43 and 54 by 14-3/4 inches on the 55. Pick the width on the Size selector; the 55 carries a price difference shown there.
Can this fireplace go on a covered patio?
No. The owner’s manual for this model states plainly not to use it outdoors, and the product attributes list it as an indoor fireplace. If you want a linear electric fireplace for a protected porch or outdoor room, the Forum outdoor model in our linear electric fireplace collection is built for that, and the Scion and Triton carry an outdoor-application bulletin.
