Superior VRL3000: a linear vent-free gas fireplace with floor lights and a remote, no chimney needed
The Superior VRL3000 is a linear vent-free gas fireplace built into the wall. Linear means the opening is low and wide, like a letterbox. It comes in widths of 45 or 55 inches. Pick the size on the page. The flames rise in a long line through platinum crushed glass. Lights under the glass have six settings, so it glows even with the fire off.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Vent-free means it needs no chimney or vent pipe at all, and nearly all the heat stays in the room. It puts out up to 23,000 BTU on the 45 and 28,000 BTU on the 55. Electronic ignition lights it with a button, and a battery backup keeps it running when the power is out. A remote that runs the flame, the lights, and a thermostat comes in the box. On the page you can add a blower, or instead a HeatFlo kit that carries the heat away from the wall above so a TV can hang there. You can also add a black or stainless surround and driftwood logs. FAQ
What sizes does the VRL3000 come in and how much heat does it produce?
45 in and 55 in linear models on the Size selector, rated 23,000-17,000 and 28,000-21,000 BTU. Both frame at 29 in high and 18 in deep, at 45-7/8 or 55-7/8 in wide. Because it is vent-free, the Features tab rates it 99.9 percent efficient; the room must supply ventilation air per the installation manual.
What is included with the fireplace?
The multi-function remote (IPI/CPI, thermostat, flame height, blower and lighting), mood floor lighting with six settings, platinum crushed glass media, a black bezel with barrier screen and a black painted interior are all standard, with electronic ignition and battery backup. A blower or HeatFlo kit, surround, porcelain liner, extra media and a driftwood log set are optional selectors.
Blower or HeatFlo kit: can I have both?
No. The selectors are labelled so you choose one: the single-speed blower on the Blower row (not with the HeatFlo kit) pushes heat into the room, while the HeatFlo kit on the Configuration Kits row (not with the blower) ducts heat higher up the wall to protect a TV or artwork above the fireplace. Pick the blower for output, HeatFlo for a wall-mounted screen above.
Does a vent-free linear fireplace need a chimney?
No; that is its main advantage over the DRL2000 direct vent it resembles. Nothing runs through the wall or roof, so it can go on an interior wall. The trade-off is that it uses room air, so the manual’s ventilation-air calculation and local code decide where it may go. See other linear fireplaces if you need a vented option.
Natural gas or propane?
Both are offered on the Fuel selector: ZEN models are natural gas and ZEP models propane, per the Specifications tab, so the right burner ships from the factory. No conversion kit is listed for this model, so choose the fuel carefully before ordering.
How can I finish the opening?
The clean face can be drywalled or tiled to the opening, or you can add a black matte or stainless surround from the Surround selector for drywall applications. The Liner selector swaps the black interior for black porcelain, and the Floor Media selector adds black or blue reflective glass, platinum glass or river rock on top of the included platinum media.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
