Superior Wild Timber: glowing ceramic fiber vent-free logs with a third row of flame
The Superior Wild Timber is a vent-free gas log set that fits in the fireplace you already have. The logs are ceramic fiber, which is light and porous, so they glow orange as flames move across them. A triple burner puts two rows of flame under the logs and a third row behind them, over a glowing ember bed. This gives the fire depth from front to back. The logs come in lengths of 18, 24, or 30 inches, and the set puts out up to 39,000 BTU. Pick the size on the page.
Vent-free means you can run it with the damper closed, so nearly all the heat stays in the room. The burner is not included. On the page you pick the log size, the fuel, and the burner. Order it for natural gas or propane. The millivolt burner needs no electricity and is remote ready. The variable burner comes with a remote that sets five flame heights. The electronic burner comes with a touchscreen remote and a thermostat. Check your local code first, since some areas restrict vent-free heaters. Prefer heavier concrete logs? See the Superior Rugged Stack vent-free gas log set. The Superior Wild Timber ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
How are the Wild Timber logs different from Rugged Stack?
Both are Triple-Flame sets with the same burner, sizes and output, but Wild Timber logs are ceramic fiber, which glow more like burning wood, while Rugged Stack logs are concrete with a stacked look. Wild Timber is also the lower-priced of the two. Sizes are 18, 24 and 30 in on the Size selector.
Is the burner included?
The burner is a required choice on the Burner selector after size and fuel: Millivolt (remote-ready), Variable with the ProFlame remote (manual and thermostat modes, five flame heights) or Electronic with the EcoFlow touchscreen remote (three flame heights). The 30 in logs sit on the 24 in burner. The price shown is the log set.
How much heat and what fireplace size?
30,000 down to 21,000 BTU for the 18 in set and 39,000 down to 28,000 BTU for the 24 and 30 in sets, at 99 percent efficiency. Minimum fireplace width is 28, 32 or 40 in with 19 in of height and 14 in of depth per the Specifications tab. Size the input to the room using the burner manual’s ventilation-air check.
Can it be used in a vented fireplace?
Yes. Run vent-free with the damper closed for full heat, or vented with the Damper Clamp (required if vented) from the Accessories row keeping the damper open. Vent-free use depends on local code. Compare more Superior gas logs for other burner series.
Natural gas or propane?
Both. The Fuel Type selector switches the Burner row to the natural gas or propane version of the Millivolt, Variable or Electronic burner at the same price, so the Wild Timber set arrives ready for your supply. There is no conversion kit on this listing; if your fuel might change later, mention it to us before ordering.
Does it work when the power is out?
The millivolt burner does; its standing pilot needs no household electricity, so it keeps heating in an outage. The Variable and Electronic burners are run from their included remotes; check the burner manual linked in the Manuals tab for their power needs before relying on them as backup heat.
