Superior WRT3500: a wood burning fireplace with a clear view of the fire and screens that hide away
The Superior WRT3500 is an indoor wood burning fireplace. It comes in widths of 38 or 43 inches. Pick the size on the page. Your builder frames a wall around it and finishes it in stone, tile, or brick. A large smoke dome above the fire keeps the draft steady and the opening clear, so nothing blocks your view of the flames. The face is smooth, with no louvers. The firebox is insulated on all sides. On the page you pick the brick pattern for the inside, stacked or herringbone.
It burns real logs and uses a 12 inch double wall chimney. The chimney pipe is sold separately, so ask us to quote the run. The included mesh screens tuck out of sight when you want them gone. The floor has a built in ash lip, and a heavy log grate comes with it. You can add bi-fold glass doors in black and an outside air kit. It can also take a gas log set later. Want a 30 inch tall opening or a 50 inch width? See the Superior WRT4500 wood burning fireplace. The Superior WRT3500 ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What sizes does the WRT3500 come in?
38 in and 43 in models on the Size selector, with stacked or herringbone refractory panels on the Panel selector. Framing is 49-1/4 or 54 in wide, 50-7/8 in high and 26-1/4 in deep per the Specifications tab. It is a radiant smooth-faced open-hearth fireplace with a large smoke dome for reliable draft and an unobstructed view of the fire.
What chimney does it use?
The IHP 12DM or 12HT double-wall chimney system, 12HT required in Canada, quoted separately from this listing. The installation manual linked in the Manuals tab gives the minimum and maximum chimney heights and clearances, and a qualified installer sizes the run.
What is included?
Concealable mesh fire screens, a heavy-duty log grate and floor with integrated ash lip, an adjustable outside air damper, the refractory panels in your chosen pattern and a fully insulated firebox. Black-trim bi-fold glass doors on the Door selector and the outside air kit with flex duct and hood on the Outside Air selector are the options.
Can I add gas logs later?
Yes. The Features tab lists optional gas log sets and Superior’s vent-free logs brochure is linked in the Manuals tab; log sets are separate purchases sized to the 38 or 43 in opening, and the installation manual states which log types are approved. Browse other wood burning indoor fireplaces with the same option.
Does it heat the room?
As an open-hearth radiant fireplace it warms the area in front of the opening while most heat goes up the flue; it is chosen for the view of the fire rather than as a heater. For real heating, Superior’s EPA-certified WCT4920, WCT6920 or WRT3920 are the better choice.
What hearth and clearances apply?
A non-combustible hearth extension in front of and beside the opening, plus mantel and side-wall clearances, per the installation manual linked in the Manuals tab. Give the manual to your installer before framing, and use the outside air kit if the house is tight.
