Cabo Fire Pit in GFRC Concrete: a low square concrete fire pit in 36 or 48 inches
The Outdoor Plus Cabo fire pit in GFRC concrete is a low, square gas fire pit with crisp edges and a wide flat rim, cast in the USA from a lightweight glass-fiber concrete that looks like a solid block of stone. It comes in a 36 or 48 inch square and 18 finishes, from smooth grays to metallic tones.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Light it with a match, or add electronic ignition and start it with a button. The burner, pan, hose, fittings, and lava rock are included; a key valve, cover, stainless lid, wind guard, and fire glass are optional. Need 60 inches? The metal Cabo goes one size bigger. The concrete Cabo fire pit ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What makes the Cabo’s shape distinctive?
It’s a clean square monolith of cast concrete — the SKUs literally read OPT-CBSQ36 and OPT-CBSQ48 for the 36-inch and 48-inch squares. Where most fire pits go round, the Cabo’s crisp edges suit modern hardscapes and squared-off seating layouts.
Is GFRC as durable as regular concrete?
Stronger where it counts — glass fibers cast through the Cabo’s shell give it poured-concrete toughness at a fraction of the weight, so it moves into place without a crane. Like the rest of our concrete fire pit collection, it offers 18 cast-in colors from Ash to Smooth Gray and beyond.
What ships with the Cabo GFRC?
Everything the fire needs: fire pan, plate burner, mounting bracket, an orifice for your chosen NG or LP fuel, a whistle-free hose, and lava rock. Your installer connects the gas; the Cabo handles the rest.
How hot does a fire pit like this get?
Gas flame runs upward of 1,000 degrees at its core, but the Cabo delivers it as adjustable radiant warmth — dial the valve down for ambiance or up for real heat on cold nights. The concrete shell also holds and re-radiates warmth pleasantly.
What’s the right way to put it out?
Turn the gas valve off — done. No embers to drown, no ashes to rake, which is exactly why the Cabo beats a wood pit for weeknight use. If yours has an electronic ignition, the flame also shuts down from the switch.
Can the Cabo go under a covered patio?
Sometimes — gas pits can be approved under covers when overhead clearance and ventilation meet code and manufacturer requirements. Before you order the 36-inch or 48-inch Cabo for a covered space, measure ceiling height and have your installer confirm it’s compliant.
Which ignition systems does it offer?
All five: Match Lit, Match Lit with Flame Sense (LC certified), Flame Sense with Spark, Low Voltage Electronic (CSA certified), and Plug and Play (CSA certified). For a built-in look like the Cabo’s, many buyers choose electronic ignition wired to a switch.
