The Outdoor Plus Cazo Fire Bowl - Wood Grain Ivory

Cazo Fire Bowl in wood grain: a round concrete fire bowl with a plank texture

The Outdoor Plus Cazo fire bowl in wood grain is a round gas fire bowl cast in GFRC concrete from wood-textured molds and finished in Ebony, Ivory, or Oak. It reads as a timber bowl holding fire, yet nothing about it can burn or rot. Choose a 24 or 32 inch bowl.

Order it for natural gas or propane. Light it with a match, or add electronic ignition and start it with a button. The fire pan, burner, hose, fittings, and black lava rock are included; a key valve, canvas cover, and fire glass are optional. Prefer smooth concrete or metal? See the full Cazo collection. The wood-grain Cazo fire bowl ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

Includes

  • Fire Bowl
  • Pan
  • Burner
  • NG or LP orifice
  • Whistle Free Hose
  • Black Lava Rock.

FAQ

Is the Wood Grain Cazo really made of wood?

No, and that is the trick. It is GFRC, glass fiber reinforced concrete, cast in molds that pick up authentic plank texture, then finished in Ebony, Ivory, or Oak. You get timber warmth wrapped around a gas flame with zero chance of the bowl itself ever burning.

What diameters does the Wood Grain Cazo Fire Bowl offer?

Two: a 24-inch (OPT-24RWGFO) and an uncommon 32-inch (OPT-32RWGFO), a step between the 30 and 36-inch bowls elsewhere in the Cazo family. Both share the deep-dish profile that made this concrete fire pit series popular.

What is included with the bowl?

The GFRC bowl, fire pan, burner, an NG or LP orifice, a whistle-free hose, and black lava rock, which looks sharp against all three wood tones. You pick Match Lit or CSA Certified low-voltage electronic ignition when you order the Wood Grain Cazo.

Is this a fire bowl or a fire pit?

Functionally both. Fire pit is the umbrella term, and bowl describes the shape: a wide, open vessel sitting above grade rather than sunk into it. The Wood Grain Cazo is a gas fire bowl, sculptural and easy to position during install, but plumbed like any gas pit.

Can I put it on a wood deck?

Gas bowls are far deck-friendlier than wood-burning pits since nothing sparks or pops, but the Cazo still radiates heat downward. Set it on a non-combustible pad or pavers, confirm the deck framing can carry the weight, and have your installer verify clearances against the spec sheet.

How do I shut the fire down at night?

Turn the gas off, and that is the entire routine. Close the valve or switch off the electronic ignition and the flames die instantly, with no dousing and no coals to babysit. Once the lava rock in the Wood Grain Cazo cools, you can drop a cover on it.

If I order natural gas, can it be converted to propane later?

Each Wood Grain Cazo is built to order for one fuel, so specify NG or LP at purchase and it ships with the matching orifice. Already own one and switching fuels at a new home? Contact us first, since options depend on the burner setup involved.

Some silhouettes never go out of style. Named after the traditional Spanish cooking pot it resembles, the Cazo’s clean tapered cone has become The Outdoor Plus’ signature — and one of the most recognizable fire features in outdoor design.

Line a row of them along a raised bond beam, crown a pair of pillars at the spa, or anchor a quiet corner with a single bowl — then repeat the same shape as a fire bowl, fire & water bowl, water bowl, planter, or planter & water bowl. One silhouette, five roles, five finishes, in sizes from intimate to grand.

One Bowl, Five Ways

Cazo Fire Bowl

09Fire Bowls

The classic: a gas burner beneath a bed of lava rock fills the cone with a tall, open flame. Runs on natural gas or liquid propane, match lit or electronic ignition.

Best for: pool decks, pillars & seating areas

Cazo Fire & Water Bowl

12Fire & Water Bowls

Flame on top, waterfall below — while the burner runs, a scupper spills a smooth sheet of water from the bowl into the pool beneath it.

Best for: spa & pool surrounds

Cazo Planter Bowl

16Planter Bowls

No gas, no plumbing — the same sculptural cone finished as an oversized planter, so living greenery can echo your fire and water bowls.

Best for: entries, steps & softening hardscape

Cazo Planter & Water Bowl

18Planter & Water Bowls

Plants grow in the center while water pours from the scupper beneath them — greenery and moving water sharing one bowl.

Best for: pool walls & raised bond beams

Cazo Water Bowl

20Water Bowls

A pure water feature: the bowl fills and continuously spills from its scupper, adding movement, sound and reflection to the poolscape.

Best for: symmetrical spills along the pool edge

What’s Included In Your Bowl

Exploded diagrams of match lit and low voltage Cazo fire bowls and fire and water bowls

Match Lit Bowls

Ship complete with the burner, fire pan, lava rock, coupling, NG or LP gas orifice, whistle-free hose and ventilating mounting plate — light it by hand, no power needed.

Low Voltage Electronic

Adds a pilot igniter and SWEIS valve for flames at the flip of a switch. Every electronic ignition system runs off a low-voltage transformer.

Fire & Water Bowls

Add a scupper and a dedicated water line, so the same bowl that holds the flame also pours into the pool below.

Liquid Propane

LP applications use a brass air-mixer orifice that blends air into the propane for a cleaner-burning flame — preventing soot from staining the bowl and its surroundings.

Natural Gas

NG applications come with a brass orifice mounted directly under the burner. Key valves must be mounted within arm’s reach of the burner.

Mounting Brackets

Fire bowls ship with a mounting bracket that provides ventilation and a secure mount — the warranty is void if it isn’t properly installed.

Fire Media

Top the burner with the included lava rock. Fire glass isn’t recommended on liquid propane — propane is heavier than air and can pool beneath dense glass.

Good to Know

Natural Gas

NG bowls come with a brass orifice mounted directly under the burner. Plan the gas run so the key valve sits within arm’s reach of the bowl.

Liquid Propane

LP bowls use a brass air-mixer orifice that blends air into the propane for a cleaner-burning flame — no soot staining the bowl or the deck around it.

Lava Rock, Not Glass, for LP

Skip fire glass on propane bowls. Propane is heavier than air and can pool under dense glass media — lava rock lets it breathe. On natural gas, glass is fair game.

Mounting & Ventilation

Bowls ship with a ventilating mounting bracket that anchors the bowl and lets the enclosure breathe. Install it properly — it’s required to keep the warranty valid.

Where fire bowls shine

Designed for the Backyard

Fire bowls belong wherever you want light, warmth and drama — on pool walls and pilasters, flanking steps and spas, or standing alone on a patio pedestal or garden column.

One bowl makes a focal point; a matched pair frames a view; a row down the pool wall turns the whole backyard into a resort. Because every bowl runs on your gas line, the flame is instant, adjustable and clean — no wood to haul, no embers, no smoke.

Fill it your way: lava rock is included, or dress natural gas bowls with fire glass in dozens of colors for a jewel-like glow.

Four ways to build a bowl

Materials & Finishes

GFRC Concrete

Glass-fiber reinforced concrete — the strength of cast concrete at a fraction of the weight, highly resistant to weathering, erosion and heat. Offered in smooth, rustic and metallic finishes from Ash to Vanilla.

Powder Coated Steel

Steel bowls sealed in tough powder-coat finishes engineered for harsh outdoor environments — from Matte Black and Java to White, Copper Vein and Sapphire Blue.

Hammered Copper

Hand-hammered copper with a timeless reddish-brown patina. Long-lived, artisanal, an excellent heat conductor — and it only looks better as it ages.

Stainless Steel

Sleek, modern and virtually immune to rust and corrosion — the right choice for coastal and humid climates, with high heat tolerance for years of safe use.
