What makes the hammered copper Gallaway special?
The hammering is done by hand, so no two Gallaway bowls carry the same pattern — and those dimples do real work at night, breaking the firelight into hundreds of moving reflections. Copper is also rust-proof for life, aging into a warm patina instead of deteriorating.
Which sizes are offered?
Three: 42-inch (OPT-GALCPR42), 48-inch (OPT-GALCPR48), and 60-inch (OPT-GALCPR60). The 42-inch Gallaway fits tighter patios and balcony-scale courtyards, while the 60-inch holds its own as the centerpiece of a large seating circle. All three share the same hand-hammered copper construction.
What is included with the Gallaway?
Everything the fire needs: fire pan and plate burner, mounting bracket, an orifice matched to your natural gas or propane order, whistle-free hose, and a starter load of lava rock. Like every copper fire pit we sell, the Gallaway just needs a licensed fuel connection to burn.
Can you roast marshmallows over this fire pit?
Go for it — the Gallaway burns clean gas, so marshmallows pick up caramel, not creosote. A round bowl works nicely for group toasting since everyone reaches the flame from their seat. Hold skewers just above the flame and keep drips off the included lava rock.
How do I actually light it?
With the standard Match Lit setup on the Gallaway: crack the key valve open, touch a long-stem lighter to the burner through the media, then dial in flame height. If you ordered an electronic or Plug and Play ignition instead, lighting is a button press.
Can I convert it between natural gas and propane later?
The Outdoor Plus approach is to build each Gallaway to order for your fuel, specified at purchase — conversion afterward is not the intended path. If your fuel situation changes after installation, get in touch with us about your specific unit before attempting any modification.
What ignition systems can I spec?
Five levels: Match Lit, Match Lit with Flame Sense (LC certified), Flame Sense with Spark, Low Voltage Electronic (CSA certified), and Plug and Play (CSA certified). The Flame Sense tiers add automatic gas shutoff if the Gallaway flame blows out — worth considering in windy locations.
