Moderno Fire Pit: a low faceted metal fire table from 4 to 9 feet long
The Outdoor Plus Moderno fire pit is a low, rectangular gas fire table whose sides are cut into angled facets that taper inward, leaving a wide flat top around a long burner. It is 28 inches deep, handmade in the USA in six lengths from 48 to 108 inches, and made in hammered copper, stainless steel, or powder-coated steel in many colors.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Light it with a match, or add electronic ignition and start it with a button. The burner, pan, hose, and fittings are included; a key valve, cover, stainless lid, wind guard, and fire glass are optional. Prefer plain straight sides? See the Coronado fire pit. The Moderno fire pit ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
How big can the Moderno Fire Pit go?
Up to nine feet — the Moderno runs 48, 60, 72, 84, 96, and all the way to 108 inches, one of the longest size ladders in The Outdoor Plus catalog. That top size is genuine commercial-scale fire architecture; the 48-inch keeps the same design language at patio scale.
What finishes are in the Moderno Metal Collection?
Three families: hammered copper (OPT-MODHC SKUs), stainless steel (OPT-MODSS), and powder coat (OPT-MODPC) in 15 colors — Black, White, Silver Vein, Java, Gray, Pewter, Copper Vein, Olive Green, Mist, Soft White, Onyx Black, Bronze Hammertone, Sapphire Blue, White Vein and Gold Vein. Copper evolves a patina, stainless stays permanently bright, and powder coat matches your palette.
Which ignition systems are offered on the Moderno?
All five tiers: Match Lit, Match Lit with Flame Sense (LC certified), Flame Sense with Spark, Low Voltage Electronic (CSA certified), and Plug and Play (CSA certified). On the longer Moderno builds, electronic ignition is the practical pick — one press beats reaching a lighter across a wide burner.
Do I choose propane or natural gas for the Moderno?
Whichever you specify — every Moderno is built to order for Liquid Propane or Natural Gas, declared at purchase like the rest of our gas fire pit range. At the 84-inch-and-up sizes, a plumbed natural gas line is almost always the sensible configuration.
How much clearance from structures does it need?
Use ten feet from walls and overhangs as the planning baseline and let local code finalize it — but with the Moderno, measure from the ends of the size you order. A 108-inch unit moves its clearance envelope dramatically compared to the 48-inch; site plans should reflect the real footprint.
What is the running cost on a large burner?
Tied to length and flame height. A 48-inch Moderno at ambiance level is an easy propane load — several evenings per 20-pound tank — while the 96 and 108-inch builds at full flame are showpiece draws that justify natural gas, which costs a small fraction of propane per hour.
Can it go under a covered structure?
Only a genuinely open, tall, ventilated one — and the longer the Moderno, the more heat rises toward whatever is above it. Check the specification sheet clearances for your size, mind beams and fans, and get local inspection sign-off before placing any build under a roofline.
