Contempo LP Select firetable in reclaimed wood: a plank-look top over a black base
The American Fyre Designs Contempo LP Select firetable in reclaimed wood is a low rectangular table, 52 inches wide, 36 inches deep, and 18.5 inches tall. Its plank-textured top comes in two wood-look finishes, oak or pine, over a black lava concrete base. Concrete reinforced with glass fibers gives you the wood look without rot or splinters. A straight stainless steel burner, 24 inches long, runs across the top.
It runs on propane only, and you light it by turning the knob and pressing the igniter; the Bluetooth control is not offered on this model. A door on the end opens to let the propane tank slide out on a tray, so no gas line is needed. The burner, pan, fittings, regulator, tank drawer, and lava granules are included, and you pick the fill on the page: lava, fire glass, or glass gems. A glass wind guard and a concrete cover are optional. Prefer plain concrete? See the Contempo LP Select in seven concrete colors. The Contempo LP Select firetable in reclaimed wood ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What makes the Reclaimed Wood Collection different from the standard Contempo?
The tabletop is cast in a wood-plank texture and offered in a choice of two reclaimed-wood-style finishes, always paired with a black lava base. You get the weathered-timber character of a barnwood table rendered entirely in concrete, which lets a fire feature anchor a rustic or farmhouse patio without a single plank of actual lumber involved.
Is the wood-look top on this fire table real wood?
No – it is glass fiber reinforced concrete, cast to carry the grain and joint lines of reclaimed boards. Because no timber is involved, the top cannot char, warp, splinter, or catch a stray ember, so the planked look can live inches from a live flame – something genuine wood could never do safely on a fire table.
Does a fire table actually keep you warm?
Within the seating circle, yes. The flame spreads across a 24-inch run of the tabletop and radiates heat outward at seated height instead of losing it skyward from ground level. It will not heat an entire backyard, but for the people gathered around it, a fire table reliably takes the chill off an evening that would otherwise send everyone inside.
Will the Reclaimed Wood Contempo fit on a smaller patio?
Comfortably, in most cases. The footprint is 52 by 36 inches with the surface at 18.5 inches high – about the space a generously sized patio coffee table would claim. Fuel storage is fully internal, so nothing extends past the base; plan for the table itself plus walking room around your chairs and the layout is settled.
What fuel does the Reclaimed Wood Contempo run on?
Liquid propane only. This model belongs to AFD’s self-contained line of propane fire pit tables: the cylinder stows out of sight within the unit rather than connecting through a wall or a buried line. Bring it home, load a standard cylinder, and it is ready to run – no utility work involved before the first fire.
How do you maintain the wood-textured concrete top?
Treat it like quality outdoor concrete rather than furniture-grade lumber. There is no sanding, staining, or annual resealing routine to keep up, and the finish will not gray, rot, or loosen the way genuine reclaimed boards eventually do outdoors. Day to day, care amounts to wiping the surface clean and covering the table when it will sit unused for long stretches.
What fire table works with rustic outdoor furniture?
Look for warmth in the materials, not just the flame. The Reclaimed Wood Contempo pairs plank-textured finishes and a black lava base with a clean rectangular form, so it sits naturally beside teak, wicker, or weathered-finish pieces while keeping a current, tailored silhouette. It bridges rustic and modern in a way neither polished concrete nor actual timber quite manages.
