Contractor’s Model fire pit: a plain 39-inch concrete drum ready for your own stone
The American Fyre Designs Contractor’s Model fire pit is a plain round drum, 39 inches across and 14.5 inches tall, with a thick rolled rim. Your contractor can finish it with stone, tile, or stucco, as the photo shows on one side, or you can leave it as is in one of seven concrete colors. It is made from concrete reinforced with glass fibers, giving it a stone look at a fraction of the weight.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Turn the knob and press the igniter to light it, or add the Fyrestarter Bluetooth control and start it from your phone. The 16-inch stainless steel star burner sits inside and is included along with the pan, fittings, and lava granules, and you pick the fill on the page: lava, fire glass, or glass gems. Why does the Contractor’s Model ship unfinished?
On purpose. It arrives as a raw GFRC shell, offered in multiple colors, ready for whatever facing your project calls for. Instead of forcing your hardscape to coordinate with a factory finish, you dress the pit in the same stone, tile, or veneer as the patio around it, so the finished fire pit looks built into the design rather than bought for it.
What size is the Contractor’s Model before finishing?
The bare shell is a round pit 39 inches across and 14.5 inches tall. Remember that those are pre-finish numbers: whatever stone, tile, or veneer you apply will add thickness, so measure your space against the dressed dimensions you are planning, not just the shell. That makes it one of the few fire pits where you decide the final diameter yourself.
What ignition options and heat output does it offer?
You can order it with a manual flame sensing control or the optional Bluetooth-enabled FyreStarter electronic ignition, and output from the 16-inch stainless steel star burner ranges from 65,000 to 100,000 BTUs depending on which ignition system you choose. Natural gas and propane versions are both available, so the pit works plumbed to a line or running on LP.
What is the reversible floor inside the pit for?
The interior floor is reversible so the same pit can accommodate multiple media options instead of committing you to one arrangement. It extends the blank-slate idea inside the bowl: just as the exterior takes whatever facing you choose, the interior adapts to the fire media setup you prefer. Installers get flexibility, and homeowners get a pit that can be reconfigured rather than replaced.
Can I put this fire pit on a concrete patio?
Concrete is one of the best bases for it. Stories about fire pits cracking slabs almost always involve wood fires, which drive intense heat straight down into the concrete for hours. A gas unit like the Contractor’s Model burns at the burner, elevated above the base, so the slab underneath stays far cooler. Give it a level pad and keep the clearances your manual specifies.
Is a wooden deck an acceptable spot for it?
Gas pits are the deck-friendlier choice since there are no embers or ash to escape, but run two checks first: confirm the structure can carry the finished, veneered weight, and follow the clearances in the manual and your local code. The propane version suits decks where plumbing a line is impractical, and our other propane fire pits show what else works off a tank.
Can you put stone veneer on a gas fire pit?
Only if the pit was designed to take it, and the Contractor’s Model was, which is unusual. Its raw GFRC exterior is intended as a substrate, so a mason, tile setter, or confident DIYer can apply stone veneer, tile, or another facing directly over the shell. Order your facing material as part of the overall hardscape package so the pit and patio finish together.

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
