Magnolia Lantern: a 66-inch concrete column with a steel lantern head of branch cutouts
The American Fyre Designs Magnolia Lantern is a tall fire column, 16 inches square and 66 inches tall. Its solid concrete pedestal is topped by a square stainless steel lantern head with branch-pattern cutouts that let the flame glow through and cast shadows at night. Made from concrete reinforced with glass fibers, it looks like stone at a fraction of the weight and comes in seven colors.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Turn the knob and press the igniter to light it, or add the Fyrestarter Bluetooth control and start it from your phone. The lantern burner, pan, fittings, and lava granules are included, and you pick the fire glass color on the page. A canvas cover and a side table that hides a propane tank are optional. What makes the Magnolia a lantern rather than a fire pit?
The flame lives up high, glowing through a brushed stainless steel topper at the crown of a 66-inch column – the fire behaves like architectural lighting rather than an open bowl of flame. It is the only lantern-form fire feature in our AFD lineup, designed to cast a warm, inviting glow from dusk till night.
What does the tree-patterned topper do?
The stainless steel lantern topper features an artful tree pattern, so the flame’s glow picks out the design after dark, throwing warm light and pattern instead of a plain open fire. By day the brushed metal reads as modern sculpture atop the concrete column; by night it becomes the lantern’s shade.
How narrow is the Magnolia’s base?
Just 16 by 16 inches – a slim square that lets the 66-inch column stand in places most fire features cannot: beside a front door, along a courtyard wall, at the corner of a pool deck. Height does the visual work while the footprint stays out of the way of foot traffic entirely.
Does the Magnolia offer smartphone control?
Yes, optionally. Upgrade to the Bluetooth-enabled FyreStarter electronic ignition and you get push-button light-ups and smartphone control; otherwise the standard manual flame sensing system keeps operation simple and reliable. For a piece often stationed at an entryway, having the lantern already glowing when guests arrive is a genuine luxury.
Which fuel options does the Magnolia offer?
Natural gas or propane, chosen at purchase. The propane version includes internal storage for a 5-gallon tank – the tank itself is not included – keeping the setup tidy inside the slim column, a trait it shares with our other propane fire features. The natural gas model connects to a plumbed line for permanent installation.
Where do people place a fire lantern?

The Magnolia works like an oversized garden lantern: station it where you would want a lamp after dark, and it delivers flame instead of a bulb, with GFRC construction handcrafted in the USA to live outdoors permanently.
Is a fire lantern bright enough to light a path?

The Magnolia casts a warm, inviting glow from dusk till night – enough to mark an entrance, silhouette a courtyard, or give a pool deck its evening mood – but it is a fire feature, not a floodlight. Pair it with conventional path lighting and let the lantern supply the atmosphere.

Planter by Day, Fire by Night
A fire urn is a gas fire feature shaped like a garden planter. With the burner off it blends into the landscape — one spark turns the same corner into the evening gathering spot. A removable door in the base even hides a 5-gallon propane tank, so there is no hose running across the deck.

Two Ways to Control the Flame
Manual Flame Sensing Control System
Standard on every model. A manual battery-powered spark igniter with a thermocouple-equipped control and manual flame height adjustment. If the thermocouple stops sensing a flame, the gas shuts off automatically — regardless of valve position.
FyreStarter Bluetooth Control
This convenient ON/OFF – High/Low electronic system lets you run the fire from your smartphone — just download the app — or manually at the appliance. Two USB ports (A & C) charge phones, outdoor speakers and more. Optional 110V upgrade, available on the Magnolia Lantern.
The Magnolia Lantern
Standing 66″ tall, the Magnolia Lantern glows from within through its sculpted branch screen — a dramatic focal point beside a doorway, path or seating area. A 5-gallon propane tank fits inside the unit, and it is the one model available with the FyreStarter Bluetooth control (25,000 BTU manual / 28,000 BTU with FyreStarter).

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. She was always super responsive and helpful throughout the process. Don't kid yourself, getting a really nice sauna is not that easy. Sizing and heating need to be figured out, as does the building, but we have always had a helpful partner on our side. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
