Detroit Radiant TH-1A66 Line Voltage Thermostat: direct temperature control for your electric heater
The Detroit Radiant TH-1A66 Line Voltage Thermostat is a wall thermostat that switches your electric heater directly to control the temperature. It fits Detroit Radiant BAH and ELX heaters, as well as the DSS without a remote. Its temperature range is 40 to 80 degrees F. “Line voltage” means it uses the heater’s power supply rather than a separate low voltage supply. Detroit Radiant builds these controls for its own heaters, so the wiring and voltages match.
For a small heater drawing up to 5,000 watts, no transformer or contactor is needed. This thermostat handles the switching itself. It cannot be used with contactor panels, which switch power through a separate control. A decorative wall plate comes in the box. Prefer a thermostat you can program?
