DuraVent DirectVent Pro Chimney Liner Termination Kit 2: a connector and flat flashing for your chimney top
The DuraVent DirectVent Pro Chimney Liner Termination Kit 2 is a chimney top kit with a liner connector and an 18 by 18 inch flashing, the sheet covering the chimney opening. It serves direct vent inserts in masonry or factory built fireplaces. Two flexible aluminum liners run beside each other up the old chimney, carrying exhaust out and outside air in. They meet at one cap above this kit. DirectVent Pro is DuraVent’s pipe inside a pipe vent for direct vent gas fireplaces and stoves: exhaust goes out through the inner pipe and outside air comes in through the outer pipe.
Choose a 3 inch or 4 inch exhaust connection. Both versions have a 3 inch air connection. The cap, flexible liners, and connectors at the insert are sold separately. This kit must be listed for use with your insert. For a chimney ending above the roof, use a vertical cap approved by the appliance maker. The old chimney needs inspection and cleaning before use. Need the top plate flashing version? See the DuraVent DirectVent Pro Chimney Liner Termination Kit. The DuraVent DirectVent Pro Chimney Liner Termination Kit 2 ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
What comes in Chimney Liner Termination Kit 2?
A Termination Connector and a Flashing for the top of an existing chimney, joining a co-linear pair of flexible liners to a DirectVent Pro 4 x 6-5/8 inch termination cap. The cap, the 3-inch flex and the co-linear flex connectors are sold separately. Select the 3-inch or 4-inch option on the page to match the flex diameter the insert requires.
How does this kit differ from the other Chimney Liner Termination Kit?
Both provide the connector and top flashing for a co-linear installation; this listing covers the 46DVA-GK and 46DVA-CT connectors sized by flex diameter (3 or 4 inch), while the other lists the 46DVA-CLTA connectors. Choose by the part number and flex size your insert manual specifies, since DuraVent lists the termination kit with each appliance.
Which flex and cap do I pair with it?
Two runs of aluminum flex (exhaust and intake) in the diameter chosen here, joined with a flex coupling if one length is short, and the standard or high-wind DirectVent Pro cap the insert manual approves. DuraVent’s Vertical Wind Guard is available for the high-wind cap on exposed roofs. All are in the DirectVent Pro category.
How is it installed at the chimney top?
Draw the liners up with a flex puller, leave 2 to 3 inches above the chimney, slide the flashing over both, fasten each liner to the connector with sheet metal screws and seal the flashing to the crown with non-hardening sealant, then twist-lock the cap onto the connector. Keep the liners from sagging inside the flue, which DuraVent warns can trap heat.
Does the old chimney have to be inspected?
Yes. The existing masonry or factory-built chimney must be sound and clean, and the insert must be a direct vent gas appliance whose manual lists DuraVent’s co-linear system; clearances and maximum liner length come from that manual. The connector and cap are the only parts that terminate the system, so nothing else may be substituted.
