The Golden Designs Gargellen is a five person outdoor hybrid sauna. Hybrid means it has both a traditional stove and infrared heaters, so you can choose a hot steamy sauna or a gentler warm-up. The cabin is made from Canadian hemlock with a clear stain to keep the rain out. It has a bronze tinted glass door, a tall window, and two rows of benches inside. It takes up about 99 by 73 inches of yard space.
Turn the switch to the Harvia 8 kW stove and the room reaches 170 to 185 degrees. Turn it to infrared and ten heaters warm you at a lower temperature. Only one runs at a time. Inside you get color lighting, a control panel with FM radio and Bluetooth, speakers, and a sandglass timer, bucket, and scoop. With the roof overhang it measures 98.9 x 72.6 x 97.4 in; without the overhang the footprint is 78 x 56.7 in at the same 97.4 in height. Inside you get 74.2 x 53.2 in of floor and 78 in of headroom across two tiers of bench seating for five. Leave clearance to open the bronze glass door and reach the stove side.
No. The main power switch picks one heat source at a time: the Harvia 8 kW stove or the ten full spectrum emitters (four carbon PureTech near-zero-EMF panels and six near-infrared elements). Golden Designs suggests infrared mode when it is 45 F or warmer outside and the stove in any weather, which gives you a light session or a full-heat session from the same room.
The listing calls for 240 V / 40 A serving both the stove and the full spectrum system. Per the owner’s manual, a certified licensed electrician must hardwire it with 90 C rated copper wire, sized with the breaker to your local code; aluminum wire, extension cords and outlet adapters are ruled out. Budget the electrician’s visit into your install plan.
It leaves the warehouse in 10 boxes on a pallet and is delivered curbside by a freight carrier, so plan on moving the panels to the site yourself. The Shipping tab lists about 6 business days of handling plus 5-8 business days in transit within the US. Shipping weight is 1,170 lbs against a 1,075 lb assembled weight.
The sauna is reforested Canadian hemlock finished natural with a waterproof clear stain on the exterior, and the manual states outdoor models are made to sit in rain and sun. Weathering will shift the wood color over time and some seepage between panels is normal; it dries as the sauna heats. Use a rain cover when idle or place it under a covered structure to keep it fully dry.
In stove mode the ideal range is 170-185 F with a 190 F maximum; infrared mode is meant for 118-132 F and should not exceed 140 F. The owner’s manual advises no more than 40 minutes per session, a cool-down before re-entering, and shutting the sauna down for an hour after every four hours of use. Stop at once if you feel dizzy.
The sandglass timer, water bucket and scoop ship with the sauna, as do the chromotherapy lights, backrest accent light, LED control panel with FM and Bluetooth, and built-in speakers. Buyer may cancel and return the goods to Manufacturer, subject to the terms and conditions oft his policy. Golden Designs reserves the right to refuse to refund any deposit or payment, or cancel any payment due, and any owing until such time as Manufacture a) is in receipt of the goods b) has inspected the goods and c) in the Manufactures discretion, has found the goods to be free of damage. All refunds will be provided within 5 business days once the product has been returned to the warehouse and inspected for damage
All returned goods must be in their original packaging. Seller may refuse to refund all or any portion of any payment, or cancel payment due and owing if the Buyer fails to fully comply with or violates the terms and conditions of this policy.

I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
