The Golden Designs Narvik is a two person outdoor traditional sauna. It has a modern cube shape and a dark espresso exterior built for rain and sun. The interior is all Canadian red cedar. A clear glass door and a tall window let in light. It takes up about 59 by 71 inches of patio space, so it fits a small yard.
A Harvia 6 kW stove heats the room to 170 to 185 degrees. Ladle water over the stones when you want steam. Inside you get color lighting, a control panel with FM radio and Bluetooth, speakers, and a sandglass timer, bucket, and scoop. Two circuits: 240 V / 30 A for the Harvia 6 kW stove and a 120 V / 15 A supply for the control panel, lights and music. The owner’s manual requires a certified licensed electrician to hardwire the stove with 90 C rated copper wire and size the breaker to local code; aluminum wire, extension cords and outlet adapters are not permitted.
It is a traditional electric sauna: the Harvia stove heats the room to an ideal 170-185 F, and you ladle water from the included bucket and scoop over the stove for bursts of steam when you want more humidity. The listing describes it as a steam sauna for that reason; run it dry or wet as you like, up to the 190 F ceiling.
The owner’s manual says two adults can assemble the GDI-8202-01, with only a battery or hand-held Phillips screwdriver. The floor, wall and roof panels come pre-built and screw together with the supplied hardware; the exterior roof gets a layer of adhesive roofing paper. Stove wiring is the only job that must go to a licensed electrician.
Yes, it is an all-weather exterior sauna the manual says is designed to be placed in rain and sun, with a Canadian red cedar interior. Cedar greys after roughly one to two years unless you maintain it with a UV protectant, and a little water seepage that dries in use is normal. Use a rain cover between sessions and never use the sauna during a storm.
A level, dry surface that can carry the 915 lb sauna plus occupants, which the manual notes can exceed 1,000 lbs. Golden Designs recommends a concrete slab, concrete pavers, gravel, cinder blocks or a solid wood deck. On bare ground, set the support cradles on cinder blocks or similar so the sauna does not settle over time.
A clear tempered glass door, a 55.4 x 53.4 in interior with 75 in of headroom, oversize chromotherapy color lighting, a backrest accent light, built-in speakers and an LED control panel with FM radio and Bluetooth (the manual gives roughly 33 ft of Bluetooth range). The sandglass, bucket and scoop are included; backrests, an ionizer and pillow sets are optional selectors. More traditional saunas.
The linked owner’s manual gives five years on the wood structure (when properly maintained), the control panel, its harnesses and the lights for the original purchaser at the original site; the Harvia stove carries Harvia’s own warranty. Coverage is for parts, not labor, and the warranty card must be mailed within 60 days of purchase. Damage from modifications is excluded.
Buyer may cancel and return the goods to Manufacturer, subject to the terms and conditions oft his policy. Buyer shall assume all risk of loss associated with the return as well as shipping, handling, restocking and other fees, costs and expenses as described in this policy. Orders must be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase and all returns must be processed within 30 days of delivery.
Golden Designs reserves the right to refuse to refund any deposit or payment, or cancel any payment due, and any owing until such time as Manufacture a) is in receipt of the goods b) has inspected the goods and c) in the Manufactures discretion, has found the goods to be free of damage. All refunds will be provided within 5 business days once the product has been returned to the warehouse and inspected for damage
All returned goods must be in their original packaging. Seller may refuse to refund all or any portion of any payment, or cancel payment due and owing if the Buyer fails to fully comply with or violates the terms and conditions of this policy.
All cancelled orders and/or returned goods shall be subject to the following: a) storage fees and costs associated with routing the goods; b) handling and restocking fee of 20% of the total purchase for each sauna; c) all shipping costs to and from the Manufacture, and; d) a return merchandise authorization (RMA)number provided by Norse Steam. Buyer’s failure to obtain the RMA number shall result in Manufacture not accepting any returned shipment and Buyer paying all costs and fees. All such costs and fees as determined by Manufacturer shall be paid by Buyer to Norse Steam upon demand by Norse Steam

I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
