Majestic Reveal: an open gas fire with no glass in front
The Majestic Reveal is a B-vent gas fireplace built into an indoor wall, with an open front and no glass. It comes 36 or 42 inches wide. Pick the size on the page. The burner builds flames on three levels around a detailed log set, rather than in one flat row. Brick panels frame the fire in a traditional or herringbone pattern. It puts out up to 43,000 BTU for warmth in your living room.
It is set up for natural gas, and a propane conversion kit is on the page. B-vent means it uses a plain pipe that runs straight up through the roof, like a classic chimney. It has an IntelliFire pilot that lights with a button and watches the flame while it runs. On the page you pick the size. You can add folding glass doors, a remote, or a wood mantel or stone surround, and more on the page. Prefer a fire behind sealed glass? See the Majestic Marquis II gas fireplace. The Majestic Reveal ships free from My Cozy Outdoors with No Sales Tax (except WY) and the full manufacturer warranty.

FAQ
How does the Reveal vent without sealed glass?
It is a B-vent fireplace: the open front draws combustion air from the room, and the exhaust rises through a 6-inch B-vent pipe that runs vertically out through the roof, working like a traditional flue. That natural-draft design is exactly what allows the front to stay open where a sealed direct vent unit needs a glass panel. Plan a vertical vent path when framing it in.
Is there any glass between the room and the flames?
No. The hearth is completely open, with no glass barrier between you and the fire. You get the full sight, warmth, and presence of the flames, much closer to the feel of a real wood fireplace than any sealed gas unit can manage. That open-hearth experience is the defining feature here and the main reason people seek this fireplace out.
What does the three-level burner do for the fire?
Rather than one flat row of flame, the burner builds fire on three levels around a detailed log set, which adds intensity and depth so the firebox looks lit all the way through. Glowing embers, lava rock, and vermiculite are available as accents to dress the base, and the layered effect reads convincingly from anywhere in the room.
Which sizes and fuels can I order?
Two widths are made. The 36 has a 41-inch-wide body rated 40,000 BTU per hour on natural gas or 38,000 on propane; the 42 has a 47-inch body rated 43,000 and 41,000 respectively. Both stand 39-1/2 inches tall and 21-1/2 inches deep, so the choice comes down to wall space and how much heat the room needs.
Can doors be added to the Reveal later?
Yes. Optional glass doors are offered for both sizes if you ever want to close off the opening, and they stay an accessory rather than standard equipment, so the open hearth remains the default experience. A black hood and an outside air kit are available the same way, letting you tailor the installation to your room and climate.
What keeps the pilot monitored while it runs?
The IntelliFire ignition system. It is an intermittent-pilot design that lights electronically and watches the pilot at all times, so gas flows only when ignition is confirmed. Compared with an old standing-pilot fireplace, that means safer operation and lower running costs, because the pilot is not burning gas around the clock between fires.
Can you still buy an open-front gas fireplace?
Yes, though they have grown rare as sealed designs took over showrooms. The Reveal is one of the few still made: a zero-clearance, open-hearth gas fireplace that frames into a standard stud wall, finished with traditional or herringbone brick refractory panels. Compare it with our other indoor fireplaces to see how different the open front feels.
