Majestic Ruby insert: a gas fire for your existing wood fireplace
The Majestic Ruby insert is a direct vent gas insert. An insert slides into the wood burning fireplace you already have and turns it into a sealed gas fireplace. It comes 25, 30, or 35 inches wide. Pick the size on the page. Measure your old opening to match it to the right size. The smallest has a window about 23 inches wide. The fire burns around split logs.
Order it for natural gas or propane. Direct vent means a sealed pipe runs up the old chimney to the outside. It brings in air for the fire and carries the exhaust out, so the fire never uses the air in your room. It lights with a button, and a battery backup keeps it running when the power is out. How does the Ruby Series insert transform an old wood-burning fireplace?
The Ruby slides into the firebox you already have and converts it to gas, trading a sooty grate and ash cleanup for a brilliant glass firebed and driftwood logs. The fireplace stays right where it is; what you gain is instant flame without the mess and hassle of wood. Among vented gas fireplace inserts, it is the definition of a wood-to-gas makeover.
How do I measure whether an insert will fit my fireplace?
Ruby inserts are sized by the minimum opening of your current firebox, so take four measurements: depth, height, width across the back, and width across the front. The smallest Ruby 25 needs 15 inches of depth, 17-5/16 inches of height, 15-1/8 inches at the back, and 26-5/8 inches at the front. With those four numbers in hand, matching a size takes minutes.
How do the three Ruby insert sizes compare?
The Ruby 25 delivers 27,000 BTU per hour, the Ruby 30 steps up to 32,700, and the Ruby 35 tops the line at 35,000. Viewing areas grow along with the heat, from 22-1/2 by 12-7/16 inches on the 25 to 32-1/2 by 19-3/8 inches on the 35, so a bigger firebox buys you both more warmth and more fire to watch.
Can this go into the fireplace I already have?
That is exactly what it is built for. The Ruby retrofits into an existing fireplace, typically a wood-burning one, provided the opening meets the model’s minimum dimensions, including 15 inches of depth on all three sizes. Its direct vent system is sealed and carries fumes outside rather than letting anything drift into the room.
How do I turn it on and off once installed?
IntelliFire Touch gives you the choice of a touchscreen remote control or a wireless wall switch, whichever suits how your household lives. A battery backup is included too, so the insert keeps producing reliable warmth even when a winter storm takes the electricity down. No matches, no kindling, no tending; just fire when you want it.
What fills the firebox in place of a log grate?
A brilliant glass firebed paired with driftwood logs. The flames play across the glass and around the driftwood, a look that reads far more current than a standard stack of split logs on a grate. For a dated masonry fireplace it is a complete visual reset, and there is never ash to sweep out afterward.
Do I lose my mantel and surround if I add a gas insert?
No. The Ruby installs inside your existing opening rather than replacing the fireplace structure, which is why it is sized by minimum opening dimensions instead of overall footprint. Your mantel, surround, and hearth all stay put; the change happens inside the firebox, where wood burning gives way to clean, switch-on gas flames.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
