Napoleon Astound 50 FlexMount: a wall hanging fireplace with glass sides
The Napoleon Astound 50 FlexMount is a wall hanging electric fireplace that can also sit partly or fully inside the wall. It is 50 inches wide. You can leave the glass sides showing for a view from around the room. Orange and yellow flames have spark effects. Colored lights brighten the area beneath the logs.
It needs no gas line and no chimney. It provides up to 10,000 BTU of heat. Run the flames with or without heat. ECO mode runs the heater at half power. BOOST mode turns the heater and fan all the way up. It comes with a remote. You can also run it from your phone with the Napoleon Home app or by voice through Google Home or Alexa. Beach Fire logs and a Woodland Kit come in the box. On the page you can add birch logs, glass beads, or a wall mounted controller, and more. Napoleon backs it with a 3 year warranty. Two installs in one unit: hang the NEFL50AB on the wall like artwork, or recess it into a shallow cavity — minimum framing just 50.75 x 26.25 x 7.50 in — whichever the room calls for.
Does the Astound 50 FlexMount actually warm the room?
Yes — up to 10,000 BTU (3 kW) of fan-forced heat per its spec sheet, alongside a 50 x 18 in flame display that also runs heat-free for ambiance.
How shallow is the Astound 50 FlexMount?
Just 7 in deep — nearly half the depth of the built-in Astound — which is what makes surface wall-mounting a clean, low-profile option.
What does it cost to run the Astound 50 FlexMount?
About 45–50 cents per hour at full heat at typical U.S. electricity rates, and only pennies in flame-only mode.
Does the Astound 50 FlexMount need venting?
No venting, gas, or chimney — fully electric. Condos, offices, and bedrooms are all candidates; just have the 3 kW circuit confirmed by an electrician.
Can the Astound 50 FlexMount produce carbon monoxide?
No — there is no combustion. It emits light and warm air only, making placement an interior-design decision rather than a safety one.

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
