Napoleon Rosedale 29 Electric: an insert for an old fireplace or a new wall
The Napoleon Rosedale 29 Electric is an electric fireplace insert. It slides into most existing wood, masonry, or gas fireplace openings, or builds into a new wall. The glass is about 28.38 inches wide. Orange and yellow flames appear in layers over glowing split oak logs and topaz crushed glass. Color lights above and below the logs can be set to suit the room.
It needs no gas line and no chimney. Plug it into a 120 volt outlet for up to 5,000 BTU, or hardwire it at 240 volts for up to 10,000 BTU. Run the flames with or without heat. ECO mode runs the heater at half power. BOOST mode turns the heater and fan all the way up. It comes with a remote. You can also run it from your phone with the Napoleon Home app or by voice through Google Home or Alexa. On the page you can add a faceplate, a backerplate to cover the old opening, or a wall mounted controller. It shares its rough framing with the Rosedale 3 gas insert. Will the Rosedale 29 Electric fit my old fireplace?
It needs an opening at least 29 in wide x 21 in high x 12.5 in deep per the spec sheet. A backerplate on the page covers the rest of the old opening; the largest trimmable backerplate covers up to 48 in wide by 38 in high.
How much heat does the Rosedale 29 Electric make?
5,000 BTU (1,500 W) plugged into a 120 V outlet, or 10,000 BTU (3,000 W) hardwired to 240 V. The flames also run heat-free.
Does the Rosedale 29 Electric need a chimney or gas line?
No. It is fully electric, so there is no venting, no gas rough-in, and no combustion. Napoleon says it can improve indoor air quality over a drafty open fireplace.
What framing does the Rosedale 29 Electric need in a new wall?
A rough opening 30 in (762 mm) wide x 20.38 in (518 mm) high x 12.5 in (318 mm) deep per the spec sheet, the same framing as the Rosedale 3 gas insert.
What comes in the box with the Rosedale 29 Electric?

We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
