The Narvi Luosto is a round, floor standing wood burning sauna stove for a small or medium sauna. It puts out 16 kW and heats rooms from 283 to 706 cubic feet. It has a large stone compartment and heats up quickly on a small amount of wood. The round shape fits into a corner and takes up little floor space. It is about 20 inches across and 30 inches tall. The body is enameled steel painted black. A glass door in a cast iron frame lets you watch the fire. Adjustable feet help level it on an uneven floor. Narvi designs and builds it in Finland.

Wood burning means no wiring: you build a fire in the firebox and the stones on top hold the heat. Ladle water on the stones for steam. It comes with the stove and the manual. Sauna stones are sold separately, so add the two boxes it needs on the page. A chimney is not included, so pick the flue parts and the adapter to 6 inch US pipe on the page. Why choose a round sauna stove?

The description says the round shape fits any sauna, and at 19.7 inches in diameter and 29.5 inches tall it takes little floor space. The enameled steel casing is painted black, the glass door has a cast-iron frame so you can watch the fire, and adjustable feet make leveling easy. It is rated at 16 kW for 283 to 706 cubic feet.

How quickly does it heat?

The Features tab describes it as effective with a short heating time, heating quickly with a small amount of wood thanks to the large stone compartment. Use dry natural logs up to 13 inches long, and let the 77 pounds of stones come up to temperature before throwing water; the manual says the stones, not the fire, carry the steam.

What stones and how many?

77 pounds of 4 to 6 inch stones. They are not included; the Required Stones selector adds 44 pound boxes of split-face or rounded Narvi stones at the price shown. The manual says to wash them, stack the biggest at the bottom with flat ones upright, and never pile stones above the top of the heater.

Top or rear flue?

The Specifications tab allows either. Because the outlet follows the European 120 mm standard, order the 4.5 inch Euro to 6 inch USA pipe adapter from the Chimney selector for North American chimney pipe, plus the Narvi flue section, extension or stone cage if you want them shipped together. Any modular chimney must be CE-marked per the manual.

What are the clearances?

The page lists an 80 inch minimum ceiling, 53.2 inches front to back and 43.3 inches side to side to combustible surfaces. The Safety selector sells the Narvi protective wall and installation base that let you reduce rear and side distances as the manual describes. Check the manual’s floor requirements too; a combustible floor needs protection.

What is covered by the warranty?
