Osburn Gusto: a wood cookstove that heats the room and cooks dinner
The Osburn Gusto is a wood cookstove with an oven and cooktop. Osburn rates it for 500 to 2,100 square feet, so it can heat most of a smaller house. The stainless steel oven has a two position rack and a thermometer in the door. The cooktop brings a liter of water to a boil in under 20 minutes, and the handles are wood so they stay cool. You can watch the fire through a separate glass door. It stands on the floor on a hearth pad, the fireproof panel that goes under a stove, and vents up through a stovepipe into a chimney.
Load it up and turn the air down, and it burns up to 8 hours. At full burn it puts out up to 75,000 BTU. A blower, a quiet fan that pushes the heat out into the room, is optional on the page. It burns dry, seasoned firewood. You pick the molding on the page, the band across the front, in black or brushed nickel. An outside air kit, which feeds the fire air from outdoors, is optional. How much space can the Gusto cookstove heat?
The Gusto is designed for spaces up to 2,100 square feet, with a recommended heating area of 500 to 2,100 square feet and a maximum heat output of 75,000 BTU/h on dry cordwood. It is the only Osburn cook stove we carry: a full wood heater and a working oven in one appliance.
How does the oven perform?
The spacious stainless steel oven is built for even heat distribution, with a two-position rack and a built-in thermometer for constant temperature monitoring. The oven doors and top are cast iron for durability and heat retention, and Osburn rates the cooktop to boil a liter of water in under 20 minutes.
How long does it burn on a load of wood?
Maximum burn time is 8 hours from a 2.261 cubic foot firebox (EPA loading volume 1.94 cubic feet), burning dry cordwood cut to 16 inches. Average particulate emissions are 2.0 g/h, with 76% average overall efficiency (HHV) and 83% optimum overall efficiency, so it heats as seriously as it cooks.
What is the central stainless steel band option?
For a touch of personalization, Osburn lets you add a central stainless steel band that gives the cookstove a distinctive look in place of the standard black moulding. The Molding selector on this page is where that choice is made; the black moulding is the standard finish and ships at no extra cost.
Is a blower included?
A blower is not listed as standard equipment on this cookstove. If you want fan-assisted heat distribution, a 130 CFM variable speed blower is offered under Other Accessories on this page, alongside a modular heat shield, floor protection and cooking extras such as a Dutch oven, steatite plates and tool sets.
Can I connect outside combustion air?
Yes. A 5-inch fresh air intake kit, an insulated flex pipe and a register with an airtight damper are offered under Fresh Air Intake on this page, and you can select more than one to build the complete run. Whether outside air is required depends on your home and local code, so follow the owner’s manual.
What clearances does it need?
Osburn highlights the Gusto’s optimized clearances, which make it easy to install in most homes, but the exact figures depend on your configuration and are set out in the owner’s manual linked on this page. Hearth pads and modular floor protection are available here if your floor needs protection.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

Norse Steam, and specifically Maya, were extremely helpful as I was making the decision for our Sauna. I was able to get all of the necessary details to make a decision as construction was happening in my backyard to make space for it.
We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great Sauna & Purchase Experience
Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
