SaunaLife E7B: a black barrel with a contoured bench and tall ceiling
The SaunaLife E7B is an outdoor barrel sauna kit with seating for four. A contoured 62.8 inch bench gives you a shaped seat, with an arched backrest to lean against. Inside, you have 6 feet 5 inches of headroom. The bench is thermo aspen, a heat treated hardwood without knots that stays smooth and cool enough to sit on. This B version comes with black exterior paint in the box, which you brush on yourself. A black shingle roof with a rail along the edge helps direct rainwater away.
White LED lighting is included, and you can control it through a Wi-Fi app or the handheld remote. The heater is sold separately, so choose one of the 4 electric heater packages on the page, from 6 to 7.5 kW, each with its control and stones. You can add a rear window or choose a full glass front. FAQ
What does the B in the model name mean, and do I have to paint it myself?
B means the SaunaLife E7B includes two containers of black exterior sauna paint, and yes, you brush it on yourself after assembly. Follow the paint manual on the Manual tab and apply it only outside, never inside the hot room. The paint expands and contracts with the weather and will need a fresh coat over the years to stay black.
Does this barrel come with a heater?
No, the heater is separate. The Select Heater add-on on this page offers four electric packages from 6 to 7.5 kW, each with controls and stones, which you can order now or buy later. Choose the higher kW option for a colder climate.
What electrical work does it need?
Your property and heater choice determine the details, so have a licensed electrician install a dedicated, hardwired 240 volt circuit and size the wiring and breaker from the heater's manual. These heaters cannot plug in, use extension cords, or share a dryer, hot tub, or EV circuit, and outdoor runs require buried conduit and a weatherproof disconnect. The LED power unit mounts outside the hot room in a weatherproof box you provide.
Will my feet be cold on the bench?
Your feet will be in cooler air than your shoulders because this barrel has one bench level. Its 77.2 inch interior diameter and intake and exhaust vents help address that temperature difference. Choosing a slightly larger heater package from this page can narrow the gap further.
Will it leak in the rain?
The included black shingle roof and drip edge rail protect against rain seeping through the stave seams. Two floor drains let water escape, and small gaps that appear between staves in dry weather close when the room heats.
Do I have to tighten the bands, and are gaps between the staves normal?
Yes, retighten the stainless steel bands after the first few weeks and check them each season. Hairline gaps are normal as the wood shrinks in dry or cold air and swells back when heated, so do not caulk them. Two spare staves are included.
What do I put under it?
The right base depends on your property: use compacted gravel topped with pavers, a concrete slab, or a deck built to carry the weight. It must be firm, flat, and level, since an uneven base can keep staves from lining up and the door from latching. Avoid bare grass or soil, which holds moisture against the wood, and check the Specifications tab for the shipping weight.
How long does assembly take?
About one day with two people is SaunaLife's estimate for assembling the cradles, staves, bands, door, and shingle roof. First-time builders often need longer. Plan for the electrician's visit on a separate day.
Can it stay outside all winter?
Yes, the SaunaLife E7B is built for year-round outdoor use. In freezing weather, heating often takes 45 to 90 minutes instead of 30 to 45 minutes, and choosing the full glass front on this page adds a little more heat loss in deep cold. Keep the vents clear.
How is it delivered?
It arrives by freight truck on a wooden pallet, with curbside delivery by appointment. The driver lowers the pallet to the ground, so arrange for two or three people to carry the pieces to your assembly spot. Inspect the crate before signing and note any damage on the receipt.

A sauna turns your garden into a spa oasis. We debated it for a while, but after renovating our house, we pulled the trigger and bought a sauna from Norse Steam and Maya. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
