SimpliFire Allusion Edge: a linear electric fireplace that slides into a finished wall
The SimpliFire Allusion Edge is a linear electric fireplace that slides into a finished wall. It comes in four widths from 50 to 100 inches. Pick the size on the page. The flames rise over glowing timber logs, black glass embers, and clear crystals. You choose the flame color and the ember bed color, so the fire can look natural or match your room. Slide in means the wall is framed, finished, and painted first, then the fireplace slides into the opening, so it can go into a wall you already have. It needs a 2 by 6 wall.
It needs no gas line and no chimney. Plug it into a wall outlet on its own circuit, or have an electrician hardwire it. It gives 5,000 BTU of heat, enough to take the chill off the room. Run the flames with or without heat. It comes with a remote, and you can also run it from your phone over Wi-Fi or by voice through Alexa or Google Home. In the box you get glowing timber logs, black glass embers, clear crystals, and the remote. You can add a glowing birch log set or decorative spheres for the ember bed. What does slide-in installation mean for the Allusion Edge?
The wall is framed, finished and painted first, then the fireplace slides into the opening, so it can be added late in a build or into an existing wall. The specification tab lists compatible finishes as smooth materials such as painted drywall, tile, shiplap or smooth stone. For a wall-mount instead of a recess, choose the optional Boyd build-out kit on the selector when you pick the 50-inch size.
Does the Edge need a 2×6 wall?
Yes for a recessed installation. The specification calls for a framed opening in a finished wall with a 2×6 minimum, and the installation manual explains the wall cavity must be at least 5-1/2 inches deep because the unit is 5-5/8 inches deep with a slim front profile. A standard 2×4 wall is not deep enough unless you build it out.
Can I control this fireplace from my phone or a smart speaker?
Yes. Controls are Wi-Fi, buttons on the fireplace and the included remote. The manual covers pairing with the Smart Life app over a 2.4 GHz network, after which Alexa and Google Home commands can turn the unit on or off and adjust flame style, brightness, heat mode and sound effect. Thermostat, timer and lighting are all reachable from the app.
Which logs and media are included, and can I add birch logs?
Glowing timber logs, black glass embers and clear crystals ship with the fireplace. The Allusion Edge Glowing Birch log set and Decorative Spheres are optional fire bed materials: pick either from the selector above the price when you order and the price appears there. Installation sheets for both accessories are linked in the Manuals tab.
Is it hardwired or does it plug in?
Both are supported. The installation manual says the fireplace is designed to be hard-wired for 120 V and that a plug-in kit is supplied for use with a properly grounded outlet. Either way it needs a minimum 15 amp, 120 V circuit, and a dedicated circuit is recommended so other appliances do not trip the breaker.
How much heat does the Allusion Edge produce, and can it run without heat?
Up to 5,000 BTU on 120 V, which is supplemental zone heat. The heater is optional: the Features tab describes varying heat output options including no heat, so you can run the four digital flame styles (Signature, Classic, Dancing and Chromatic), the 13-plus ember colors and the three crackling sound effects year-round with the heater off.
Which widths are available?
Four: 50, 60, 78 and 100 inches, all 20-3/8 inches tall and 5-5/8 inches deep. Overall widths run from 52-5/16 inches on the 50 to 101-5/8 inches on the 100. Choose the width on the Size selector; the larger sizes add to the base price as shown there. We purchased the 3-person sauna for our outdoor garden. We chose the cube sauna for the aesthetic and could not be happier.
I assembled by myself except for the 2 large panels (requires a few people). Instructions were good - took me two partial Saturdays to complete and a few hours to unpack and organize in advance of assembly. Had my elec. add a NEMA enclosure on the back for the controller and power for lights and a 2nd panel for the wireless control.

We absolutely love the CL7G. It is extremely comfortable for 6 people (can fit more less comfortably). The Thermory Spruce and Aspen in the interior smells great. The lighting is lovely. We paired the CL7G with the Harvia Spirit 10.5kw.

Smoking Hot Tub!
I got the Norse Steam SaunaLife wood-fired hot tub, the S4N model, and its been seriously great. It heats up quicker than I expected, usually around an hour and a half, and once its hot, it stays that way for a good long while. The wood-fired system is simple to use, and honestly kind of fun.
The tub itself feels solid and well put together. The thermo-spruce exterior looks beautiful in person, and the fiberglass interior is smooth, deep, and easy to clean. Its the kind of setup that just works without a bunch of fuss, which I really appreciate.
Also, the team at Norse Steam was genuinely great to work with. Super helpful, quick to respond, and made the process really easy from start to finish. It felt like they actually cared that I was happy with it. The tub has totally become a go-to way to unwind, and I wouldnt change a thing.

Great experience purchasing Finnmark FD-2 from Norse Steam. Good communication and easy to assemble. Temperature increases quickly (30 minutes or less to 140) and maintains well. So far this has been a great purchase.

Great sauna and great customer service
We purchased the Finnmark SD-1 sauna. Maya was extremely helpful with the purchase. We had an issue with the sauna not reaching the maximum temperature, and Maya connected us with the appropriate technician that explained how to correct the issue. The sauna now heats to the maximum temperature (170 degrees) in less than an hour, and it is a great unit. We are very happy with it, and we would definitely purchase from NorseSteam if we needed any other items.
